That's what CJ is getting from TSU...err...someone.

Exact same offer is currently extended to few other recruits.

since last year they were offering $4127 a month and they really only got PatPat out of it. Why would they go to Ole Miss for $1k less a month than last year's players?

I heard the 30K number 2 weeks ago from someone that would have a pretty good idea of what was going on

It's a lot easier to hide small dollar deposits into bank accounts.

One $30k lump sum is a huge red flag.

I hope Johnson wises up and starts charging interest for this payment plan.

At the rate the dollar is going that'll be just enough to get some Abner's chicken fingers for game day by their Senior Year..

payments, that was the initial offer. I heard the final number went to 80K spread out monthly. There is no doubt something has gone down but it will never be proven and Slive will only care if someone goes around him and reportsit. We shouldn't have rubbed it in the Bears face as bad as we did (billboards) because we have definetly gotten a reaction out of them and it hasn't been good for us.

and won't even be there in 50 months. I wouldn't see them taking anything close to that deal. What's the difference in putting 30k cash in a bag and $600 cash in a bag. It's cash. One of those otions has to be done 50 times.

about 20K in frozen concentrated orange juice futures, another 20K in a MBSO and sprinkle the rest in some interest swap and derivative arrangements.

I keep payments small so they dont raise suspicion...not to mention possible transfers or injury....

Banks red flag deposits of 10K or more

Getting beat 3 out of 4 and looking down the barrel @ 4 out of 5 is a hard pill for them to swallow. If either of our programs start to good then the other one will do what it takes just to get a little bit better. I guarantee you if we add more seats to our stadium than they have they'll throw up just enough aluminum bleachers in the endzone to claim they have more. It's just a fact of life in Mississippi.

They want Mullen gone bad, real bad.

gave up that name when he made his presentation to us, I just don't think it works that way.

Buy them at Walmart with cash, virtually impossible to trace. All you have to do is mail a kid a small envelope every month.

they are dumbasses if they were to deposit that money to begin with. I would keep it at my home well hidden.

I was thinking along th eexact lines of your post, but from the recruits standpoint. What of they decide to quit paying them because they get injured or just end up being ****.

Had some Bear friends talking about them with anirrational level of hatred. So next year after we beat them we put up 'Still our State' billboards?

I really think that Jackie schooled Mullen up on some the history between our schools. Maybe suggested poking them enough to make them step out of line, ala Brewer. (i'm hoping so at least)

That is a tough one because I doubt the non-agent advisor/representative for the recruit in question gave up that name when he made his presentation to us ...

Remember, everything is absolutely fair game according to Mike Slive as long as the recruit has no knowledge.

sou you get 5 guys to pitch in 6K each.

All I'm saying is that if I were the recruit, no way I'm going with that plan.

However, we (I am being very liberal with the word 'we') sure do sound like a punch of whiners when we have lost back-to-back major recruits and pay-for-play rumors start swirling. At some point this **** either needs to hit the fan or we need to get over it.

Let me say this, IF this did happen and we did not get proof of this supposed solicitation we suck at the recruiting game.

Our head coach doesnt want to go that route- especially right after Camgate. We are playing it safe. Sux to lose these recruits, but we stay clean and should reap the rewards of another big season next signing period. I wish we would have paid the money myself, but I can understand why we didnt.

If letting some of these secrets out of the bag makes us look whiney, then so be it

in regards to C.J. or any of these other current recruits, then it needs to be reported to the SEC immediately. Our administration can't control Slive's actions, but we can control ours, and we should just do what the rule states and report any issues found. If Slive continues to be Slive, then we should secretly leak it to the NCAA. And when Dan Mullen moves on from MSU, he needs to write a book about the SEC.

I think the school would finish paying out whatever the price is. They were talking about this in the SMU piece. Once the recruit gets on the payroll, the university is at their mercy. If I was CJ and started playing and doing well, I would start demanding more money or threaten going to the press and NCAA, especially by my Jr. year.
Just think if he does turn out to be another P Willy (sales pitch), why would you not up your price the last two years.

we are all familiar with oil spikes by now.

regarding food, demand for food hasn't been affected much by the worldwide economic slump. people still gotta eat. meanwhile, there's been some pretty bad crop failings, lowering global supply. supply and demand, same as it ever was.

as long as any temporary price spikes are due to supply/demand issues, not inflation, then market forces will come into play (prices spike, so production increases, increasing supply, lowering price, etc etc.....) in short order. food won't cost any more 4 years from now than it does now. there's just too many drags on economic growth for the time being for inflation to happen.
