<span style="font-weight: bold;">Sugar Bowl:</span> Auburn vs. Ohio State (current ranking #2 vs. #7)
I think Alabama beats Auburn and knocks them out of the national championship picture. Auburn barely gets by South Carolina in the SEC Championship game. We get to see Oregon play TCU or Boise State for the title. (Remember Boise State plays Nevada this week, could be enough to bump them over TCU in the BCS standings. The other non-AQ ends up playing Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl.
<br style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Orange Bowl: </span>Alabama vs. Virginia Tech (#11 vs. #14)
Alabama's win over Auburn bumps them to the top eight in the BCS, and the Orange Bowl takes a two loss Alabama team over a one loss Stanford team for the final BCS at-large spot. Virginia Tech wins the ACC title and gets the auto berth to Miami. What could have been a disaster BCS game ends up being a decent matchup.
<br style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Capital One Bowl:</span> Arkansas vs. Michigan State (#12 vs. #10)
Arkansas knocks off LSU to end the season 10-2 and gets to face an 11-1 Michigan State team in Orlando. Mallett screws the Michigan State secondary, calls them ****** and leaves in the middle of the night.

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Cotton Bowl:</span> LSU vs. Oklahoma State (#6 vs. #9)
LSU falls in Little Rock and the Cowboys drop the Big 12 championship game and end up in Dallas. Les Miles gets to face his former team.

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Outback Bowl:</span> South Carolina vs. Iowa (#17 vs. #24)
A rematch of a recent Outback Bowl, both teams have "what could have been seasons" and play a lackluster New Year's Day game.

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Chick-fil-A Bowl:</span> Mississippi State vs. Florida State (#25 vs. #21)
I understand we are MState, but I think we take advantage of a couple of things here. First, we beat Ole Miss. Secondly, Florida State beats Florida. The Gator Bowl is going to make a big push for Florida and a deal will be set up that allows Florida to go to Jacksonville. The Peach Bowl also gets to take the ACC #2 team, Florida State, and avoid a UF-FSU rematch. Disclaimer: If Florida State or NC State were to beat Virginia Tech in the ACC Championship, then I think the matchup here is Florida/Virginia Tech, regardless of what happens in our game with Ole Miss or Florida's game with FSU.

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Gator Bowl:</span> Florida vs. Illinois (NR vs. NR)
See what I mean. The Gator Bowl really, really wants that matchup. State could end up here if VT is upset in the ACC Championship. If the SEC only gets one team to BCS games, Florida doesn't drop - State drops to Music City.

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Music City Bowl: </span>Georgia vs. Miami (NR vs. NR)
Miami's loss yesterday pretty much sealed them up for Nashville. The Music City Bowl really wants Tennessee, but Hartline and Cobb will prove too much and beat Tennessee. MState could end up here if the SEC only gets one team to the BCS. Remember, if State beats Ole Miss, State would have to be selected before Tennessee and Georgia. If State loses to Ole Miss, UGA and UT can be selected before.

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Liberty Bowl: </span>Kentucky vs. UCF.
Kentucky is here unless they lose to Tennessee AND the SEC only gets one to the BCS. In that unlikely case, MState could end up here if they lose to Ole Miss, playing the same team they did in 2007. State is selected no lower than this.

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Compass Bank Bowl. </span>
Only Kentucky has an outside chance at dropping this far. The Liberty wil take MState if they have a chance. It would take:
loss to Tennessee AND
Georgia beating Georgia Tech AND
SEC getting one team to the BCS.

FAQ's
<span style="font-weight: bold;">What happens if LSU does beat Arkansas?</span>
Nothing as far as we are concerned. LSU gets the second BCS spot and Arkansas goes to the Cotton and Alabama ends up in Orlando.

<span style="font-weight: bold;">What games concern MState's bowl chances?</span>
Besides the Egg Bowl, In the SEC, the important ones are Tennessee/Kentucky and Georgia/Georgia Tech. Tennessee and Georgia are in must win situations to be eligible for a bowl. If State were to lose to Ole Miss and Tennessee and Georgia were both to win, then the Liberty is a likely destination. But all three have to happen. Outside the SEC, watch how the ACC ends up. We want Virginia Tech to keep rolling so that the Peach Bowl is forced to take Florida State. Highly unlikely that they would have a UF/FSU rematch, but they would love a UF/Virginia Tech game.

<span style="font-weight: bold;">State's gonna kick Ole Miss' ***. What's the lowest we could drop. </span>
If the SEC gets two teams to the BCS, which is highly likely, then we could go no lower than the Gator. The Gator has their eyes on a Illinois/Florida game and will try very hard to make that happen.

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Okay. Nightmare scenario. Tennessee and Georgia both win. We lose to Ole Miss. Auburn loses to Alabama and South Carolina and LSU loses to Arkansas.</span>
Give me Liberty or give me death.

<span style="font-weight: bold;">Based on what you have heard, what bowls have interest in MState?
</span>We are the Liberty Bowl's dream ticket.
The Chick-fil-A Bowl has us a close second behind Florida, and could change if we win and Florida loses to Florida State
The Gator Bowl has us on their radar, but is hoping for Florida.
The Music City Bowl is so infactuated with the chance at getting Tennessee, its almost like they do not have a Plan B, but in all reality, we would get the nod over Kentucky if it came down to it. <span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">

Where do you think we go?
</span></span></span></span>I honestly think we beat Ole Miss and go to the Chick-fil-A Bowl. Either because Florida loses to Florida State or the Gator Bowl works out a deal. Florida is expecting the Gator Bowl based on what they are being told. <span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">

<span style="font-weight: bold;">But what if we lose to Ole Miss?
</span></span></span></span></span>We're not losing to Ole Miss.<span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">

But what if?
</span></span></span></span></span>Not gonna happen.<span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">

Okay, say we don't show up and Ole Miss happens to outscore us.
</span></span></span></span></span>In the unlikely event that we lose to Ole Miss, the Chick-fil-A is out. I think we end up in the Gator if Tennessee wins and Georgia loses. I think we end up in the Music City if Tennessee loses and Georgia wins. I think we end up in the Liberty if Tennessee and Georgia both win. <span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">

So spell it out one last time:

</span></span></span></span></span>Beat Ole Miss - 90% Chick fil A, 10% Gator

Lose to Ole Miss:
Tennessee and Georgia Lose: 90% Gator, 10% Chick-fil-A
Tennessee wins and Georgia loses: Probably Gator
Georgia wins and Tennessee loses: Probably Music City<span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">
</span></span></span></span></span>Georgia and Tennessee both win: Probably Liberty<span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">
</span></span></span></span></span>

I have to agree- I kind of figured that the Gator would want Florida, and especially if they can match Urban and Zook up. The Peach is not going to be able to match up a Florida/Florida State rematch.

into that. I have had too many beers preceded by Bloody Mary's to comprehend all of it at present. But I will defer to you and assume you are right.
