1.) I'm as excited, if not more so, with Scott Stricklin as I ever was with Greg Byrne. He reminds me a lot of the things I liked about Byrne. The difference is I don't expect Scott to come up next year and tell us he's leaving. I truly feel Scott is a lifer. How good does it feel to hear our AD say that if a coach wants to leave, salary won't be the reason he does it.

2.) "If you know John Cohen, you know he can't do anything without a Powerpoint..." That obviously isn't in "the book".

Great interview by Stricklin. It was good to get the insight of the compromise. Also, good to hear Stricklin talk about the program in general. It is nice to see us have a unified front for our program...it is paying quick dividends.

and I appreciate his candor. He really exposes the other schools' obtuseness.

About the 4:30 mark: "I think it should be an institutional decision" and the other schools have no response. They just refuse to let us celebrate our traditions out of spite and inertia. It's not the noise.

If the administration stands up to the Conference(who has no basis for their argument) and are willing to make the sacrifices, MSU will win out.

Scott presents sound study. The other 11 schools flat don't give a **** about objective information because they've got their marching orders to end the cowbell.

Other schools: "we don't want to open the door towards our own fans bringing noisemakers".

Scott: "well then ban bells in your own stadium instead of pushing that on to us."

Other schools: "well then, let's vote. Scott, you're screwed 11-1."
