I watched most of the Terry Sanford vs 71st game on YouTube. Terry Sanford seemed to have an excellent game plan on offense to counter the massive 3 man defensive line 71st has. They ran alot of misdirection plays and let the 71st DL penetrate only to dump it off on some really effective and we'll timed screen passes that netted alot of yards. Terry Sanford QB is very versatile and savvy. Still tough to beat 71st though. Terry Sanford scored a touchdown with 1:07 left in the game and got a successful 2 point conversion to pull within one at 44 to 43. Terry Sanford then recovered the ensuing on side kick and ran yet another we'll timed creative play a RB pass to the QB that got them to about the 17 yard line. They called a timeout with 2 seconds left and the kicker converted the winning field goal as time expired. 71st used 2 QBs and both seem to be a real downgrade from the last years 4 year starter Nance. Neither appears to be great at passing and neither are anywhere near the runner Nance was. However 71st did have two running backs who both rushed for over 100 yards, with one of the two (the USF commit) gaining just over 200 yards and 5 rushing TDs. 71st remains as always primarily a run heavy team and their offensive line is also similar to the DL in that they have great size also.
