7-1 when Spencer is our leading score, 10-9 when he is not

Cam needs to average 17 like he did last year. Needs 20s over the last 4 games to get there and help us win

I said he would be key against Wisconsin and find good looks, because they are slowest team in Big 10. That's precisely what happened.

I certainly hope he does average those sort of points down stretch, but a 17+ average (more like 20) should be directed at Cliff, not Cam.

no...if you are scoring 17 points per game and playing 80% of minutes and we have 63 possessions you are asking him to score .34 points per possessions. That is absurd.

What's the point of that analysis?

We are much better off if Cam scores 17-20 ppg over the last 4 games. That means he is making shots, making 3's.

The problem lies if Cam gets iced or keyed on by opposing defense someone needs to step up offensively in a major way. I think a combo of Hyatt/Simpson can up with 17-25 pts that takes pressure off Cam and opens him up for late game opportunities when defenses have to help out on other players.

Ok, yes, he needs to step it up and it all comes down to making his open shots. He is capable of going on a hot streak.
He can average 17 in a 5 game stretch, but asking for that from anyone over the course of a season…..

I still feel the key to our offensive success is not contingent on Cam. I think it is more about success running offensive sets and taking what the defense gives us. If that means Hyatt gets 18 good shots so be it. If it means feeding Cliff 22 times in the low post great. If it means Paul bullying his defender in to the lane GREAT.

I think the key to our offense is connectedness, evident by a high proportion of buckets being assisted. Our D is also based upon teh team working closely together, in rhythm, in sync, and thus disrupting the other team.
