If we finish 7-5 does Mullen seat gets warm? Somebody will have to go. Lets hope its Koenig and Wilson.

3 posts in and that's what you got? Bravo, rookie.
Who is this "Koenig" you speak of?
State + bowl game = job security
Who do you think we are? If Mullen is here 10 years and he simply goes bowling 8 of those years, he's the best coach in our history.
He's already matched last season's win total. Don't forget, we had a losing record going into the Egg Bowl.
Mullen will have to do something illegal or unethical or create a Nutt-style dumpster fire to ever be on the hot seat here.
This is whats wrong with the fanbase now. This is the most accepting of mediocrity of a fan base that Ive seen. If Mullen stay long enough he'll coach his way out of Starkville. If he's smart he'll take to Texas job and run.

I cannot believe that winning 2 conference games and winning all of State's current non-conference games (with such an easy schedule now) is adequate. That's is funny, because you told me when Croom was fired that a losing SEC record was not acceptable to remain as coach. I guess now it is, which proves the original poster's point that the standards at MSU are pretty low. With our current talent level (as of this year, next year it gets worse overall), we should never lose those non-conference games, and with the Kentucky as down as it is, 2 SEC wins are almost guaranteed every year with KY always on the schedule. But 2-6 in the SEC is always acceptable? Croom got fired for the same after going 4-4 in the SEC the year before.
Now, I agree that this is way, way premature, and likely from an Ole Miss fan, because no one believes that MSU will lose its next four games. We will be favored against Arkansas and Ole Miss, only a slight underdog to Texas A&M, and who knows with LSU. We will be an underdog, but let's face it, LSU's offense is so bad that they are beatable by any talented team on any given Saturday.
