First time opponent for SWE, and have never seen them play, so I really don't have a clue about them. I do know that they are a fairly new program, only 9 years, and those years haven't been kind. Did sprinkle 2 back to back 9 win seasons in there, but for the most part, nothing. They seem to be having a great year this year, coming out of the gate at 4-0, but the combined record of those teams is 7-19. Ran into a 4-1 team last week and got beaten by over 30. I'm not expecting things to work out well for them tonight, but I've eaten crow before, so being wrong is quite possible. Does anybody know anything about this program at all, particularly this year?

Bruh. Come on. If there is reception, there will be an orange flag in the corner.
Very sporatic reception, so updates will be infrequent. First of all, this is a big @ss school! And the stadium, though generic with the stands, is very nice. Deep, with a D III college feel. As far as the game, SWE gets the ball first, and on the first play, fumbles, recovered by CH at the SWE 5. CH goes 4 and out. Cougars ball at the 5. Nothing going, punts. After another CH punt, SW moves it to its own 35. From there, a 75 yards TD run is called back because of a questionable hold, but a makeup pass interference (ball wasn't catchable) call on the next play gives us new life. The drive ends with a 15 yard Td reception to standout receiver Porter. Quarter ends.
CH drives the ball, but is intercepted at the SWE 10. SWE drives, converts 4th down, intercepted at CH 20 with 20 sec remaining. Final play of half, CH appears to catch a Hail Mary td, but SWE comes up from the pile with the ball, so ref calls incomplete. CH HC is livid, and gets flagged going into the locker room.

CH comes out and bullies our defense, driving from the 20 to the 15. But with no real estate left, the defense holds as turns them over on downs. That's 3 times that CH has given the ball up inside the red zone: at the 5, 10, and 15. Holding kills the drive, and SWE punts from the 5. Returner muffs, recovered by SWE at own 45. Pass interference, 17 yard run, 1yard td run. Miss XP.

SWE ball on 20. Determined to make up for two lost fumbles, the SWE back batters CH for yardage. In typical fashion, a holding call erases a jaunt to the 20. But Porter comes through with a clutch reception to the 30 with 20 seconds left. Another redeeming run gets the ball to the 1 with 6 sec left. Not too be denied, swe clips the goal line to take the lead with 4.2 seconds remaining. More penalties are called with CH last ditch attempts, but SW wins 20-13.
At a certain point, you lose count. That many.
I honestly think that the refs were confused by the wishbone. But it's not like they didn't call tons on the other team as well. I shouldn't say they. It was just one. I'm sure he's icing his arm tonight.
I will be shocked beyond believe if we aren't hosting a 3rd round game. Things definitely get easier in conference. Idk what happened to the Eastern Plains. It was by far the toughest 2A conference in the state a few years ago when it was us, Tarboro, and Kinston. Realignment killed the conference. Ugh.
