8:30 am video board update- for those curious

My drive by the stadium this morning showed that significant progress was made through the cold night last night. The construction crew has placed all but the top row of panels. I am guessing about 1-2pm today they will be wrapping that phase up and begin plugging everything in. Keep your fingers crossed that the last panel fits.

It was but we've since shifted the field to give the our sideline more room than the visitors.

This may have been discussed before, and if so I'm sorry. Given the immense size of the new board and thus its wide ranging visibility, will actual attendance decrease in times when we suck such as these?

So we will have a Dawgzillatron with no sound for the game...
I say don't use it until it is working properly with sound...

I remember at one time on the old jumbotron in oxford, their live shots were so up close that it wasn't worth watching b/c you couldn't see what was happening.

plus, when we bowl the stadium in, w/ 2 decks & 3 levels of sky boxes, you want be able to see it from outside the stadium

Dawgzillatron sounds cool to me

I have a feeling that arch that is planned to dress out the top is not going to look that good.

there will be no sound. can they not find the audio output cable?

since i'm going this weekend, i say let's go ahead and use it. i want to see this monster.

edit to add: sounds like audio will still come from the minitron, just not from the new board.
