Sagarin has them as the #3 conference so far this season, just 1 spot ahead of the SEC. There is quality at the top, but there's also a lot of mediocre to bad teams in that league too. They've watered themselves down a lot in recent years and the latest round of realignment is only going to hurt them worse. They didn't underperform in the tournament last year so much as get exposed.
