That may be the dumbest thing you have ever posted. Dana wasn't left with anything to work at in Houston?

What color is the sky in your troll world?

Dana had a 19 seniors and 28 juniors.
King returned as the best quarterback in the conference, and quite possibly the most complete quarterback in the country.

Patrick Carr arguably the most talented running back, but Houston had four seniors at the position. WR, this group was considered one of the best in the country. He had 2 NFL offensive linemen and experience except at center.

Houston defense had little returning at key positions.

2020 should have been even better. But he continued to choke on his own coke vomit.

WVU had no returning QB for the first time since 60's. The RB were highly overrated. Brown was the only bright spot and proved his worth this year. The O-Line was 1 Pro LT. Sills who got hurt multiple times. Brown who never played football. Brendt who could never break into the starting line up. It was a patchwork group. WR group had experience but were never tested. Exception Simmons who flopped in 2020.

Defense was filled with Freshman and veteran mixed. Plus academic fraud by 4 players cut into the starting lineup.

2020 it's still being patched together.

I fully beleive he will be given 4 years and possibly 5 depends on how bad year 3 is. But he will get 4 years no matter what.

But Holgorsen would have had a losing record 2019. His last 3 recruting years were high 40's and 50's with his final year around 57th.

Dana pushed out the Houston QB who is now the starter at Miami and who has been mentioned as a heisman candidate at times. He was mentioned as a heisman candidate while at Houston but Dana replaced him for a slow flat footed QB who has a losing record as a starter.

@Buckaineer explain this

Has NOTHING to do with Brown or WVU, that's how I explain that.

More "deflect and deny" so you don't have to discuss Brown and his performance as the HC of WVU football

The starting QB that didn't play against Syracuse wasn't coming back to wvu so you saw what the team looked like without him. Wvu wasnt going to do squat with Jack Allison at QB. Dana knew this its one of the reasons he demoted himself to a G5 job. Dana would have been fired after the 2019 season. Dana choked in big games. You need to stop living in your alternate reality. You need to stop using drugs.

Jack Allison wasn't any worse than the QB WVU played last year-who Brown brought in (Kendall). He probably could have delivered the same five wins at minimum. But he didn't have to play if there were another QB coming in to start. Brown was respnonsible to have QBs ready and he did not. Took him the entire season to play Doege, and this year the passing game has taken some steps back with the 8th most drops in the nation.

Great Coach??? The world Great gets throwed around waaaay tooo much.

In my lifetime:
Nick Saban-Greatest of ALL Time
Bobbly Bowden-Greatest retired coach and made FSU a top 5 program for about 20 consecutive years.
Urban Meyer-a gnats hair behind Saban with more Time left
Tom Osborne—Great and built a Dynasty that Nebraska hasn’t seen since he left.

ok after that ya get into darn good (ya gOT 1-2 ring club-Sweenwy, Carroll, Johnson, Stoops, Myles, Fisher, Tubberville (should have gotten one), Ross, McCartry, Tressell, Carr, Holtz, Schnellenberger, etc).

after that ya get into good and over a career ya may make the HOF.

then ya get into the okay to pretty good range.

Down the list further ya get into unknown.

Neil Brown is 2 years in with an overall 10-11 record and his Big XII Conference record is 7-10. It would have been 7-11 but Oklahoma not got cancelled. If he is “great”:
What is his great win in the last 2 seasons?
What above 0.500 school has he beat?
What is his road record?
Does any of it say Great or at best is it too early?

I wish him the best but don’t call him great. He is unproven & unknown at best! He’s got every saying in the book down but the sayings and mantras don’t make a block or tackle or do jack squat except occupy schedule posters and print copy. Year 2 WVU was the most penalized team in the conference and 8th in the country in WR drops.

Next year is critical for Brown. If he does not win, he’s likely gone and Lyons likely will be too cause he goes over like a fart during a funeral with most donors I know. Lyons is not well received.

I wish Brown the best cause as I’ve said before, my nightmare scenario is that Dick will find a way to get a 2nd chance here at his ‘dream job‘ that ‘wasn’t so special’ on his way out the door.

25 says Brown does not get canned in 3. Losing record or not.
