I dont like it .......5 NON CONFERENCE GAMES ..UNREAL...I REALLY LIKED THE 9 TEAM BETTER...FINDING 5 OTHER TEAMS TO PLAY WILL BE A JOB FOR SOMEBODY...Especially with it all hitting the fan today...Coaches and AD better move fast........Get ready for some long bus rides.....
I like it. The conference isn’t still strong enough for my liking in football, but this allows teams to schedule more competitive non-conference games.
They can also keep this year's non-conference schedule and add Scotland with no repercussions whatsoever
How about playing U, Southview...We always seem to have a good game with yall...Southview vs Richmond...Call our AD or head coach and line it up before schedules get filled....I would bet the house we play the scots sometime , somewhere....Im 100% against playing private schools...
That's Clemson(LOL) my kids live in The ROCK and attends Richmond Sr. my oldest played for Coach Hoggard. Still I feel you, SV would be a great game, but the AD's better move quick. Fayetteville schools aren't too happy about traveling anywhere if they can help it.
Yeah they ain’t Happy because if they don’t play an in County opponent, Cumberland County Charges the School Travel money so the money that should be spent on Athletics for Kids is going to pay the diesel Used to get the games for an out of county game. Makes no sense in my mind, or maybe I’m just Stupid.
When schools have to fork over cash for those fancy out-of-county games, it’s like stealing candy from a baby but instead, it’s gym equipment and uniforms! Local rivalries are like the chili to our Skyline - bringing everyone together! If we keep chasing those dollars, we might just ditch the fun and miss out on the hometown hype and hot dog tailgates!
