8dog, some baseball talk

you seem to know some things about them.

What are we going to do at catcher? My thinking is we need to just go with Deloach and start prepping Freeman for another position, and bridge that gap until Byrd and MCC guy gets here next year. But where? We really really need Freeman to pan out behind the plate. Is it injury problems?

To me, very few guys have cemented themselves in the lineup. From talk around the clubhouse, who is the end-all-be-all starters who will play regardless? In my opinion it's C. Powers, Butler, Hogue and Sneed but I'm not there. We know Freeman is All-SEC potential but what's going on there?

Any talk of Hogue going to LF and Goforth to CF? I think right now, those two and Collins are our best blend of defense and offense. Then you have the problem of where to put Adkins, if anywhere. Brownlee seems talented too.

Thoughts?

we have played so many guys so far. Ironically, the infield, which seemed the one with the most holes, seems the most set now with Sneed hitting the way he is. Sneed, powers, butler, and Powers looks to be the infield.

The outfield is so confusing but you have to think that in the end all the guys not named Collins and Hogue are just vying for 1 spot.

I know Cohen is not happy with the catching situation and wishes he could've signed someone for this season. Freeman's bat needs to be in the line up but I don't know the status of his injury.

That's not any inside info, just my thoughts after reuniting with MSU baseball for 8 games.
