So let see if I understand...the more socialism a country has the higher the inflation? Am I correct?

There is a connection, but the Chi Coms are all a bunch of Socialists too (the largest Socialist nation on the planet in fact) yet their inflation rate according to that chart is among the lowest.

There are specific causes for inflation, and usually bad government monetary & fiscal policies are the primary drivers. That applies to ALL countries.

The more product a countries economy originates within its own borders the less its inflation. Look at the 4 lowest inflation numbers and think how much of what you use is Made in ________.

That goes to a nation's GDP. If they have sufficient economic activity or assets to meet demand for their products, that generally translates into surpluses for their populations who then have the resources to meet that growing demand.

Low GDP, or a trade imbalances mixed with heavy borrowing and/or printing of currency to artificially create demand or stimulate GDP leads to resource and production shortages which results in high demand for limited supplies which in turn fuels inflation.

"the alternative"?

You mean $2.00 a gallon gas, growing economy, keeping China in check?

You mean that alternative?
Real GDP declined 3.4% in Trump's last year then rebounded strongly during Biden's first year until going slightly negative recently. Trump levered China to get his daughter some well documented trademark deals so there's that. If building out military bases on South Sea islands is "keeping China in check" then I'd agree with you. Worldwide energy crisis and a war in Europe might affect those gas prices but Joe's got big shoulders so blame him.

What? GDP declined? Who might have imagined that happening when businesses were shut down for 6 months and people were not allowed to gather in groups?

You really are a stupid mutherfker.

Californians are crossing the border to fill their gas tanks.

That's right. Gas is far cheaper in Mexico than in America.

So Putin's gas hike doesn't affect Mexico?

Leftists are DESTROYING our country.

And the bleaters still bleat.

Mexico. MEXICO. M-E-X-I-C-O.

Because Mexican government is subsidizing upwards of 35% of the cost at the pump. Just saying.

I can afford it.
Just curious. Let's say you're driving down a divided highway and needing to fill up. Several stations you can choose from....

One has gasoline @ 6.25/gallon...and one across the median has it @ 5.15 a gallon. Which one do you pick to fill up? (Let's say both are reputable name brands) Do you just pull into the station with the more expensive gas, or do you make a U turn & cross over the median to the other side to purchase the gas that's 1.10 cents per gallon cheaper?

Can you honestly answer that?

That's funny, but he claims he can afford these exorbitant prices right? So I'm just curious is there no price resistence/awareness on his part? He'll purchase the most expensive gasoline available even if less expensive choices are also nearby?

If he says it doesn't matter he's not a successful businessman. If he picks the less expensive gas he's a damn hypocrite bragging about how "he can afford" these inflated prices!

If he doesn't answer he's just a coward and dishonest as well.

My very wise but late and great-Grandfather told me from the time I could understand that it was an empty can that makes the most noise. Grandpa was talking about folks who brag on themselves incessantly because they really have nothing to back it up. They're like empty cans clanking on the ground.😝

We pretty much guessed it, but thanks for confirming what a self-centered, egotistical, leftist bleater you are.

We have fellow Americans who can't afford $h!t, through no fault of their own, because of the pedophile you voted for and you couldn't care less. Sucks to be you.

Bleaters voted for this crap, especially the bleaters in California. Don't leave America for reprieve. Suck it up. This is what bleaters voted for. Open borders, high crime, extreme inflation, a suck *** economy, record drug deaths, record sex trafficking, supply chain crisis, record suicides...etc.

What are leftists doing about it? Men in women's sports, can't define women, elephants are human, men can get pregnant, men can use women's locker room, infanticide, teaching sex, transgender and pedophilia to kindergartners, attacking our constitution, out of control spending, sending our reserve energy to China, illegal foreign nationals before American citizens...I can go on and on,

What are they not doing? THEIR FREAKING JOB!!!

It's unbelievable how blind and brainwashed bleaters are.

That guy (@NYC_Eer ) is so functionally illiterate and socially dysfunctional, he can't not only properly conjugate adverbs in a simple colloquial sentence... What does that even mean? 🤣

Hey my man @30CAT ....I do feel your righteous indignation over this train wreck Leftists have saddled us with, but you MUST remember none of this is by accident. They planned all of this Bro! It's no accident that list you ticked off. You yourself have so often pointed out they hate this country, and are Hell bent on destroying it, its culture, heritage, Religious foundations, Constitution....everything!

They are diabolical and desperate. They will stop at nothing and do anything to see America as we know it over and ended. Our job is to turn the tables on them, and reverse their plan...make THEM obsolete. We can do it...look how we've made practically all of them disappear off this forum?

Hang in there my Brother...help is on the way!

Well, you brought it up about Mexican gas cheaper than US. Then I showed how you were actually wrong because they are subsidizing the price, you switch it up. Would you be blasting our government if we went that route and subsidized the price at the pump? Of course you would. Then your bitching should be directed towards the market. Oil has fallen 15-20% the past 4 weeks, but the price at the pump has went down how much? Hmmm.....

If the "climate change" hucksters running rampant throughout our Federal regulatory agencies would simply abandon their misguided ideology about the imminent dangers caused by us burning fossil fuels, we could supply America with our own sources of energy and gasoline wouldn't be above 2.00 gallon like it was just a couple of years ago when we had different leadership committed to American energy independence.

What's so funny to me about all of this pain these frauds are causing for everyone else just so they can promote their unscientific sophistry, is they aren't doing a damn thing about limiting their uses of fossil fuels besides making them more expensive for the rest of us! They're asking foreigners to supply us, while they continue with their cushy lifestyles as if there is no tomorrow. They still drive their expensive German luxury sedans burning premium fuels, they still fly to their summer vacations in Cancun, Monaco or the French Riviera, they still run their air conditioners at 68 degrees 24/7, and not one of them is willing to drastically change their "fossil fueled" lifestyles to save the planet.

Beyond that, the worst "polluters" (the Chi Coms) get a pass on all of the carbon footprints they leave behind while their economy steadily grows past ours with them subsidizing a good deal of the debt we run up.

Unreal. The false promise of electric cars also does nothing to reduce our uses of fossil fuels, because we still need natural gas and oil to generate electricity! Let's not even discuss how much energy and raw materials it takes to produce Lithium ion batteries or the damage disposal of them causes to the environment? No fossil fuels are as bad as that combination.

The whole thing is just another giant scam from the Left...just like Covid. All of it aimed directly at destroying America. I'm so sick of these frauds I can't wait until they're all voted out of office permanently.

The Bible says people who scoff at the Holy Word in disbelief are fools. (it literally calls non believers fools)

I'm not going to totally disagree, however, have you noticed that oil companies have been heavily investing in EV's and charging stations since 2015? Why can't a person claim a conspiracy that the oil companies are pushing people towards these electrified vehicles?

Well as I said, even with expanded use of EVs, that's just going to place more demand on the power grid. How do we generate electricity and will probably be doing so for the next half century?

I can see why oil producers are gung ho on EV's. It's not going to put them out of business.

Help me out. I may have numbers wrong.

But wasn’t the peak price of crude oil around $147/barrel about 8 weeks ago? Now I think I saw $97/barrel.

Locally for me, gas shot up almost overnight to $4.79 when price jumped to that high point. But since the prices have fallen, it is only $4.69 (some places an hour away are at $4.59).
