Why not have Dak fake his usual dive, then back up and hit the tight end for a TD? I know it's risky and I wouldn't have the balls to call it, but It would've worked for FSU in that situation.

I feel like you have not seen us play this year. We call a play like this almost every time we are in Goal to Go situations. I guess you want us to line up in a heavy goal line setup in shotgun and only slip the TE out, but the way we do it is a little better than that. We keep the defense spread and Dak can make the choice to actually run it or do the dive fake depending on how their LBs line up.
ETA: While not on the goal line, the TD pass to Brandon Hill against Kentucky was one of those dive fakes.
