If the game is close, a loss won't end either team's season. Loser of a close game is still top 10

BS, at one loss, regardless of what SEC team it is...they still have a legit shot at the playoff.

With UGA, A&M, Bama, USCe & Ole Miss

that a loss by Auburn would not end their season but a loss by State most likely would.
Discuss.

Yet to go on their schedule they would have more opportunities to impress the committee. Plus we are at home. So he's not too far off.

If MSU wins it needs just 1/2 out of @OM and @Bama, assuming no other hiccups. Same might be for Auburn though (not sure where the iron bowl is this year), but they still have UGA and TAMU.

I had 2 Auburn buddies call me today and both feel like they would handle us. They weren't rude about it at all. Just matter of fact.

I laughed and said this State team is different, if y'all handle then Auburn as a talented team has my full respect. I was kinda shocked even with how we are skull dragging people each next opponent things we are pretenders.

I don't agree that a loss ends our season. However, Auburn has a tougher schedule since they play K-State and Georgia....so if they lose to us and win out they will still probably get in. If we lose to Auburn and win out, we might need some luck to get in.

The Question is Moot...

As long as the home team doesn't get blown out, the outcome won't wreck any battle of undefeateds. Being that we aren't going to get blown out, the question is moot.

A win over South Carolina won't impress anyone. Their defense is awful and Thompson is average at best.
