Ravern Johnson

and

Kodi Augustus

You both are big pieces of **** and made me sick seeing you sit there on the bench laughing and playing with
each others pussys while the whole team was cheering the team on.
Rick even came over and looked to ask ravern if he wanted to play in overtime and he shook his NO
That little ***** is all about himself and mad that he wasnt getting touches and was getting his *** whipped by thornton.

Once again, rick has no control over certain players..and has no way to get through to them
Not to mention doug shaws, the head ref, is an incomptent horrible ref and has a personal agenda against stans...every game its something with him.
and Bert smith had two phantom horrible fouls on jarvis in overtime.

I don't doubt your account but it makes sense. Ravern was AWOL when we needed a big shot the most.

when LSU was shooting free throws. I think maybe in the 2nd OT when it looked like they had put us away for good.

I know Kodi has already made plans for transfer. Ravern I didn't know this kind of behavior occuring. I guess its been apparent since lately when Ravern has been stroking it from downtown Stans is quick to pull him out. WE Definitely could have used Ravern's shot tonight damn it.

"Asked" him if he wanted to play?

Are you sure about this?

I can't imagine any coach "asking" any scholarship player if they want to play. I think you are reading into things.

So, a big fat <17> you to you.

He very well could have have some sort of issue with Stans but it is his own fault for not playing. I haven't noticed his defense being so bad he would sit in a situation but it must be. Early in this game he got exploited.

it was very apparent that Ravern was lazy on defense. The white kid from Arkansas was Ravern's assignment early in that game. Slower and less athletic than Ravern, but kept getting open and burning us. Tonight, any assignment Ravern drew he blew. Couldn't touch Mitchell (but then again neither could anyone else). Ravern's only contribution is shooting. Doesn't defend. Doesn't assist very much. He is one-dimensional. I suspect he'll grow out of that, but he needs more discipline and Stans is trying to send him the message.

and when Benock fouled out, Jack said "Ravern Johnson in for Benock". I think that was the first time I had heard his name. </p>

We could've used his shot, but in the first half that he was in, his contribution was suspect at best. No one was getting shots because as LSU's coach said they were not gonna double down low no matter what and they kept us guarded 4-5 feet beyond the ark and it worked

I think Stewart is our best defender. He hounded Thornton pretty good last night despite being run off every screen imaginable.

I think the other difference is Riley's D is better than Ravern's b/c Riley gives a little more size. We were switching screens and needed to be able to deal with mismatches that result from that.

Ravern's other problem is that he is extremely lazy with the ball. You can't do that against LSU. He could do nothing with the dribble and wasn't getting looks.

its one thing to miss shots, its another thing to take the shots he was taking. Bost was controlling the half court offense and getting into the lane with ease and all of the sudden Barry is the one that starts getting the ball and using the high screen.

LSU does some great things in their half court offense. They are actually fun to watch. I wish we would do more to free up shooters, particularly against a team overplaying the perimeter like that.

But I can't say anything bad about the coaching job our staff did last night. We played a good team that doesn't allow many good looks from outside. I probably would've let Osby guard Mitchell more b/c I think he is our only hope against him. But I can't say that would have worked.

why the hell was he on Mitchell all game? the couple of times he wasn't, Riley was on him. am i the only one that sees that as a PROBLEM? he got help only a couple times on double teams. why not put Romero on him, i think he is a much better athlete

is our best defender. Mitchell would have just blown by Stewart much like Spencer did the entire game until he got hurt. Obsy may be a better physical specimen, but he has yet to prove he can do anything on the court.

I blame our poor rebounding, we let the ball hit the ground on rebounds more than 50% of the time

we did miss two boards off of missed LSU freethrows. that should never happen, especially as late in the game as it did. Barry is too slow on D and not producing on O, minus his buckets in the first half against Ark. in my opinion he should be riding the pine until (if) he gets his shot back. i see way more potential in Romero on Mitchell than Barry, Phil, Riley, or Ravern.

that got right past you. did no one else see how many times Barry got blown by last night and had to commit a foul to save an easy bucket

best perimeter defender. Thought perhaps somebody like you wouldn't need it spelled out for them. Guess I was wrong.
