A big SEC game (impactful for us, anyway) to keep an eye on is UT and Vandy.

If UT (4-6) beats Vandy (5-5), UT has a shot at becoming bowl eligible with Kentucky (4-6) left on the schedule. Kentucky has Georgia this week and Tennessee next week. Vandy has Tennessee and Wake Forrest left.<div>
</div><div>So, why is this important? If Vandy and UGA win today, that means UT and UK cannot be bowl eligible. That also means the BBVA Compass Bowl will not have an SEC tie-in this year (so no B-Ham for us... won't happen). BUT should UT win today, that means they have to get one more win against UK and they will become bowl eligible. Assuming we get one more win, that would mean B-Ham is in the picture for either us, Vandy, or Tennessee. </div><div>
</div><div>Just something to think about.</div>

I will gladly take my chances going up against Vandy when bowl selection time rolls around, if we are eligible. Not so much with UT..

If UT, Vandy and us become eligible...Vandy will be in Birmingham. We are locked at Liberty being the worst option if we qualify.

We have the inside track to Music City if we win one more game bowls don't like to take teams two years in a row. Tenn went there last year and lost if we win today anything is in play but not thinking we win today book rooms in Nashville. Vandygoes to the smallest bowl with a 6-6 record there fan support sucks and Tenn would be in the Liberty Bowl.

if it were to come down to UT and MSU for the MusicCity.Tennessee will be the pick if theybecomebowl eligible. I'm not looking this up, but the Music City took Kentucky like three years in a row including 2007 when we Croomed our way to a pretty good record.

So root for Vandy.</p>

If they aren't, they could possibly take MSU over Vanderbilt. We really need to beat Arkansas if we want the Music City though. But ****, beating them could conceivably put us in the Gator or Peach. But probably not, since those bowls would likely take Florida and Auburn due to location, fanbase, and name recognition. But just stating that there is that possibility.

If Bama gets a rematch with LSU, then UPig could get the suger bowl, thus moving everyone up a notch.

Memphis and Birmingham could be without a SEC qualifier if BCS gets 3 SEC teams and UT, UK, and UM stay home.

Is if 1 and 2 are from the same AQ conference but neither is the champion. Then the champion also gets to go.<div>
</div><div>We could see something like this if Georgia upsets LSU, Vandy loses to Tennessee and Wake Forest, and Kentucky beats Tennessee:</div><div>
</div><div><div>BCSNCG - Alabama</div><div>BCSNCG - LSU</div><div>Sugar - Georgia</div><div>Capital One - South Carolina</div><div>Cotton - Arkansas</div><div>Outback - Auburn</div><div>Gator - Florida</div><div>Peach - Mississippi State</div><div>N/E - Ole Miss, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Tennnessee</div></div>

Danny Sheridan said that "Penn State and Ohio State may turn down their bowl offers as a form of self punishment in the eyes of the NCAA. If that happens there will not be enough bowl eligible teams to fill all the bowls. So some teams may make it to a bowl with a 5-7 record".

I don't know if he is right or not since I heard in on The Finebaum Show. He said he got his info from the bagman**

It always seemed so far-fetched until now, but if 1 and 2 are from the same conference, but neither won it, then they automatically go to the championship game, but the actual conference champion doesn't get the bid they earned taken away.
