Ok, I know the two teams are 5a and 6a, but the 4a forum is read by most members.
On Thursday, August 10th, at 7:00pm Highland Springs host Thomas Dale for a benefit game.
Last year, a bunch of Virginia Preps participants met for this game. It was certainly nothing formal. In fact, it was mostly a hand shake and a "so you are so n' so"? I will venture to say, everybody had a blast. And we all came away as closer friends.
And the bonus? We got to see two darn good football teams. (And in the process, scratch that football itch we have all had since last year.)
Everyone is cordially invited to this year's game. And without even asking him, I hereby appoint Springers 76 as this year's unofficial, official host.
In keeping with what is becoming part of the tradition, we will select a nearby restaurant to enjoy a bite, pre-game. Most likely Mama Rosa's just up the road from HSHS. Springers has already done the hard work, and personally researched the local choices. Time and absolute location TBD.
So mark it on your calendar. All are invited.
