After watching those first 5 minutes, I had an OEMDawg style meltdown in the first quarter. Between State and San Francisco I have had my fill of craptastic football for the last decade. I simply cannot watch this #$@% anymore on Saturdays AND Sundays (or Mondays in this case)

by each team, the niners dominated. Turning the ball over twice kills you though, which is why down 2 at half.

All it took was for me to give them up. Of course, I am sure Singletary will Croom it up before all is said and done.

Who is your new team?
This is the first time in years they actually have talent because the cheap *** owner wouldn'tpay for it until now. Picked to win their division they open 0-2 by losing to the 17ing Seahawks and then look like baboons onCialis humping the football for most of the night by dropping punt returns, throwing picks, fumbling, committing stupid penalites, snapping the ball so high Wilt Chamberlin couldn't get hit, and lastly by running the two minute drill in 45 Crooming seconds.

Makes me want to take a huge Sylvester. Having to see Rice, Montana, Clark, and Young before the game just made it worse.

It ain't the craptabulous football that bugs me............it is the striking resemblance to a Croom coached team that pisses me off.

Maybe I will just take the Raiders. Now there is a solid organization.

and head coach with severe intensity to a fat golf cart riding lame leg, no recruiting, sorry *** college coach and NFL position coach? The only comparison I can make is that they are both black. Singletary is learning his way, but improving game over game and his players play like there is no tomorrow..... No comparison.

That being said, someone mentioned that Croom would be looked at as the worst college and NFL coach of all time. He seems to have respect in the NFL for some reason. That is why he still has a job, the NFL fraternity takes care of it's own and regurgitates coaches worse than any industry I have seen.

He set MSU back years from where Jackie left it. Was it time for the Kang to go, yes, a couple of years earlier. Was Croom the answer, No. But let's not get carried away by comparing Singletary to him. Will Singletary win a Super Bowl, who knows? If effort and intensity wins them, yes. Time will tell. You have to have an owner willing to spend money on talent and they have that now.

The 49rs would have won this game without 4 turnovers.

I want to go on record that I am not a 49'rs fan. Cowboy fan since I was 5 and seeing them play in Cotton Bowl and Saints at Tulane Stadium and unfortunately State fan since Bob Tyler 1976 team.....

You must have misse the 31-6 beatdown at the hands of the dreaded Seahawks last week. They "played like there was no tomorrow" on MNF because they put themselves in that position last week.

I also failed to mention earlier the busted wedge kickoff returns as well.

We'll see. The Seahawks were one of those weak teams. If the Niners lose to the Chiefs this week then you can stick a fork in them. I just can't ever recall an NFL team making so many stupid, stupid, stupid mistakes in a game. The first two minutes they really did look like the Keystone Cops.

I guess I will give them another week to prove themselves since the Cowboys and Vikings who were supposed to be so much better are at 0-2 also.</p>

And you say you are going to give them one mroe week./ What if they lose again? Who will be your next team?

They actually look like they might be getting themselves together. If you were going to renounce, the time to do it would have been 5-7 years ago, when they fired Mooch and hired Erickson and put a ragtag roster on the field. They are actually building a decent roster and Alex Smith actually looked pretty decent last night. You might want to give them a few more years before writing them off. Debartolo was a genius, but he really hurt the Niners by getting mixed up with Edwards. The Yorks were terrible owners. They finally appear ready to do what is necessary to win.

He was an awesome LB, sure. That doesn't mean that he's a great coach. You have to wonder about all of the communication problems that the 49ers have, and also why they don't play Dixon more while Gore is getting beat up.

I hope the 49ers get Jim Mora, Jr. who was with the Seahawks and Falcons and was a DC in San Francisco. I think he could help them turn the corner. I just don't think Singletary is the answer.

About Croom- he may very well be the best running backs coach in the NFL for all I know. I would have to believe that a NFL position coach job would be a lot easier to handle than a SEC head coaching job, and that may be more of his cup of tea. I think he is probably better at taking orders than giving them. I do know that being a RB coach in the NFL requires very little talking to the media, which would minimize the stupid crap that he would say, it involves no recruiting, and there is no Woody McCorvey to trip him up either.

I don't know what it's like to coach in the NFL, but I would imagine that unless it is a very young player, there isn't a whole lot of teaching there. It's probably more like- "Hey, Reggie Bush! Great run! Atta boy!" Or the occasional tip "Hey, what they're doing out there is __, so we need to do __".
