If you're Mullen, do you make an example out of A.D. and give him a harsh suspension or do you treat it like most other offenses.....one game suspension, etc.?
Let me state a disclaimer first, so we're not flooded with "wait until he's convicted first" and all that garbage. This is assuming he is found guilty.
First thing I'd do is run his *** until he saw 225 again. Then I think I'd honestly suspend him for about 3 games. These guys have to learn to not get in trouble. They are going to drink and party. I understand that, but they have to learn to depend on a friend that is not an athlete to drive them when they are drunk, etc. It's not rocket science.
If I'm a coach I would lay it out like this. If you drink and get caught, you're going to have hell to pay. If you get a DUI, you better make sure it is worth it, because when we get through with your ***, you're going to wish you never saw a beer before. In other words, don't just say don't drink. Make it known, don't get caught.
