1. Freeze was put into place by the Touhys and other influential boosters in the memphis/n. ms. area, with Scrugg's blessing as well, I am sure. The same Touhys who have connections do Davinner.

2. Look at the last several coaches for olemiss. David Cutcliffe was the only one that even looked like an attractive head coach. If you look at his recruiting rankings, they weren't that good and many say that his downfall at olemiss was b/c of his unwillingness to do what some boosters wanted out of him in terms of recruiting.

The bottom line here is that Freeze is the front man with a good christian reputation who would never do wrong. It is like the shoe store on the corner that never sells sneakers, but the owner drives a $75,000 vehicle and has wads of cash in his pockets.

Now on to the Under Armour game. This thing is becoming more and more a recruiting tool for olemiss. Every year you see Lance Pogue running around. I will be surprised if we don't hear some complaining from some other schools in the near future.

It also doesn't hurt when one of your former players is the UA Director of Sports Marketing.
