waste time out after time out after time out
go for it on 4th and 15 yet punt it on 4th and 1/2 yard to go
and on and on.....

There's a difference between getting an athlete a ball in space with a chance to break something long, and sending a receiver on a double-move, eight yard route on third and ten. Croom was infamous for the latter. It was the Lance Long special.
