A girl was getting outside of her car in front of a sorority house at around 8:30. Two black guys and a black girl went up to her and stole her purse and threw her up against the car. The girl is fine and they got the tag number. Heard this from a girl in the same sorority so its true. Crazy ****

Don't shoot the messenger.

Yeah, the girl is good friends with my girlfriend, and is a fraternity brother of mine's girlfriend. This is the first thing like this to happen this semester. It has done nothing but get worse since my freshman year.

that happened consistently at ole miss about a year ago. we'd get email alerts about girls getting stalked/harassed/attacked about once a week. they must have finally caught the guys because it's been pretty quiet since.

for the most part, the stuff they sent out happened on campus. it's also possible that they got complaints about the emails. each one said "be on the lookout for two black males in baggy clothes." i can imagine that not going over well.

Mississippi Concealed Carry info

I know not all are comfortable with it, and I know this girl (as a student on campus) wouldn't have been able to exercise her right. But, I encourage anyone who does wish to exercise their right to carry to do so legally.

Not trying to start a debate or a series of "what ifs", just providing info for those who wish to use it.

They drove the 128 some odd miles following her from jackson just to snatch a purse? That doesn't make sense. They probably spent more money on the drive then they recovered from the purse.

And your "I'm sure it will all come out tomorrow" comment sets the imagination to spinning. What'd she do? Take their crunk but "forgot" to pay?

..I don't think Danny Ocean was running this operation. They don't seem very bright as it is.

is easy pickings. Unarmed people walking around a fairly large area at night.

If a few of these cocksuckers got their heads blown off, **** like this would be on the decline.

I was held up at gunpoint at the gas station across from Action Townhouses about 6 years ago. The irony is that I was on my way home from the Casino where I lost my ***. I told them they were SOL and started laughing.

Police at Mississippi State, working with local law enforcement officials, are
announcing three arrests resulting from a Monday night [April 20] assault and
strong-arm robbery on the university's sorority row.

Two juveniles and a 20-year-old, all from Starkville, were arrested following
an all-night investigation that is continuing, said MSU Police Chief Georgia
Lindley.

"We're confident we have the correct suspects," she said, adding that the
Oktibbeha County Sheriff's Office and Starkville Police Department assisted
throughout the investigation.

The incident was reported by a female student at approximately 8:30 p.m., and
the arrests were made later that night. The victim did not require medical
treatment.

"We remind students to exercise caution when traveling alone, and to lock
vehicle doors even when they drive on campus," Lindley said.

....She is one of my good friends little sister and I can't tell you how mad I was to hear about this last night. I was in Bham last night when I got the call. She was punched in the face 3 times and only has brusies. They did catch the 3 ppl that did this last night and got everything back other than her phone. She is doing a lot better today and it just scared the **** out of her but she should be ok.

He friend told me she was followed on the way home from Jackson.

This is what baffles me.... This happened at 8:30 on sorority row. All of the sororities have their chapter meetings on Monday night after dinner so their must have been plenty of people around that area at 8:30. Even if you carry a gun, blowing their heads off (I would take pleasure in it) would just get you in more trouble than them. Right?

Actually its called self defense and still legal in all fiddy states. Getting their heads blow off is a job hazard these pieces of **** have to deal with, not me.

Side note: Don't carry a gun unless you are willing to USE it when time comes.

don't go home and don't get out of the car. i hate this happened, but she shouldn't have gone to the house or gotten out of the car if she knew those three were behind her.
