I like Soulshine, but Pie Works is better. And nothing touches the Pizza Shack.

I haven't been there yet but have been meaning to try them. So far from what I understood earlier about Roma's it would be a coin flip for me to dine there or at Pie Works. Any preference? I'm a huge fan of Pizza Shack and I do enjoy Soulshine.. if you are saying Pie Works is better than Soulshine then I am definitely going to eat there when I return to the metro area in a few days.

I'd say Sal & Mookie's dominates Soulshine.

And now for my hole-in-the-wall special: Giovanni's (sp) at that old and not-vibrant shopping center at Hwy 25 & Grants Ferry. This little non-descript place puts out amazing pizza and Italian food.

Pizza Shack is better, but it is greasier (which probably makes it better)

Pie Works is more intimate than all the others - low lights/wait staff that gives a damn, and I would rank it second best pizza in the metro behind the Shack, followed by Sal and Mookies, then Soulshine rounds out the top four.

None of these are worth dropping $100 for a table though. Not sure any restaurant in Jackson is.

I still need to go out that way towards Flowood and browse the restaurant selection. Last time I ate in that shopping area they didn't have half the selection as they do now.
