No, not a woot-off. There will with high probability be a BAG OF CRAP offered at midnight CST. It will probably be gone within 5 minutes. The previous years have had one, as shown below.

So be on at midnight and be ready. My advice:
1) Be logged in
2) Store your credit/paypal there in advance. You can remove it later
3) Have the name on your credit card (e.g. "John Smith") ready to copy and paste. For some reason you have to manually input this.
4) Have your CVV number memorized and ready to go.
5) Use multiple tabs to ensure getting in.

Happy wooting!

But I have gotten sports equipment in one of my bags of crap.

woot is a website that sells one item everyday. A few SPS members go to woot, as can be evidenced by woot-off posts here. The Bag of Crap is sort of the Holy Grail for wooters. They send you a bunch of random stuff and it only costs $8. You can get some pretty good stuff or you can get a bunch of crap you'll never use.

In the product description there is a link to the actual sale. Some kind of trick to fool the bots.

...if it's literally a bag of crap, I hope it's not in a blister pack. I hate those things.
