I've heard the exact same thing. One year probation, two scholarships.

Best case scenario I was told was we would know by early October and it would

come in a letter. I think someone is jumping the gun.

Couldn't the letter state that the NCAA is accepting our self-imposed licks?

I heard last week that sources within the athletic department are saying they have already heard from the NCAA and that the one year probation and a couple schollies is what they were told. No bowl ban whatsoever. Also heard that if Mirando had just manned up and admitted what he saw this would have never seen the light of day. The only reason this became an issue is because he turned a blind eye to it. I have not heard anything on when an announcement can be expected to make it official, though.

Cam Newton only sat out for 1 day when he had to do this

But Will isnt the catalyst to a team that is a couple games away from an undefeated season, shot at national, and $$$ for SEC and NCAA.

Will prob get the Sid treatment.

It was probably because the media has been screwing that up.

Several of the national guys have been calling him a WR because he was listed as one on a recruiting site last year.

NCAA

I am worried that the NCAA is still pissed about Renaldo Sidney. Remember that the NCAA punishes you on what they think you did, not on what they can prove you did. Hypothetical question - If these recruiting violations turn out to be major in nature with major penalties, should Mullen be fired?

Yeah, I have to agree with you. Fire Mullen over this? Of course not ... he didn't even know anything about it. Based on what we've been told, it was a rookie coach trying to make a name for himself and crossed the line. And even that may not be true. And at this point, they couldn't care less about Renaldo [sic] Sidney.

Redmond will probably redshirt this year no matter what

I believe that if he is suspended any number of games he can not redshirt this year. You can't use a redshirt to cover that.

My guess is that if you see Redmond at any point, the prior number of games was the suspension length.
