I think it will be.

  1. Baseball team coming off national runner up year, and ranked very high in preseason polls
  2. Opponent is Ole Miss
  3. Football team is coming off a good year(by most accounts) and has high expectations
  4. We have a darkhorse Heisman candidate in Dak
  5. Long/harsh winter this year, so folks are really looking forward to spring activities.(I know I am)
  6. Lots of folks wanting to see the new additions to the football stadium

I say anywhere from 30 to 35 thousand at the spring football game. Maybe even 40,000 if the weather is really nice, and the baseball team is still kicking butt.

Setting up to be an incredible Saturday. ...................................................................

Which means that the Indians will conjure up massive supercell thunderstorms just for the occasion.

If the weather is good it will be large. Looks like Ole Miss may have a pretty

decent baseball team and if we are as good as advertised it may be a huge series.

I expect our usual 17-25th ranked team this year

first or second round exit of the tournament. We somehow hit as many home runs this weekend as all of last year almost, but unless getting a hitting coach who could actually hit it himself helps 10X, I don't expect a big run this year.

Yes, barring unforeseen circumstances it should set a record that is virtually out of reach.
I'd think the AD is looking into bringing additional temp seating in beyond the upper fence in right for this one(shutting down the road -- which happened last year anyway). If they aren't looking into that, they should be. Because 20k+ are going to show up for that game...

Only if Sugarland is on campus again will an attendance record be set........

OR we will lose 8-0 in front of the largest crowd in college baseball history.

Not sure which would be worse.

Depends on how well the BB team is doing by then and to a large extent, the weather. The X factor depends on if something can be done to accommodate more fans semi-comfortably at DNF. Once you reach a certain point its kinda hard to pack more people in there and is uber uncomfortable for many of those who are there. I think we have reached that stage a few times and it will be hard to push past it unless it is possible to bring in additional temp bleachers or something. Of course you don't wanna do that unless you are a lead pipe cinch to fill em (see weather comment again).

I clicked the link, and still don't know who they are

I have not made it to YouTube yet. I am still willing to bet they're better than Rascal Fl.....I mean Sugar Land.

I'm flying down for it. Probably the most excited I've ever been for an event at Mississippi State.
Is it a bad thing when you need a wiki entry to explain the headliner?
I had never heard of them, but when they announced it my twitter feed blew up about how people loved them. I don't think they're that big. Hipster band, I'm guessing. Not a fan of them based on the songs I looked up, but I'll go because there ought to be a ton of drunk 20 year old girls there... And at this point in my life I can still pull that off without it being weird.

Fraternity shows always overshadow the school's headliner it seems like now.
