I was in a place that I could see, but not hear what was going on.

I can only presume it was because of the shed... looked like the shed was not really a factor...

???
thanks in advance.

From what I could tell, it was originally because of relief from the shed. But he really ended up two club length from original position. They seemed to keep worrying about the tree as well. Almost led me to believe that he got a second club length because first was hindered by the tree.

It was to get relief from the shed because it interfered with his backswing. They put the tee down where the official determined was his nearest point of relief, and he could drop one club length from that spot. They were careful around the tree because if he were to knock a leaf or limb off with a practice swing, it would be considered improving his lie.

I was about to laugh when it started rolling back thinking it would end up in the same spot. Where it ended up, it appeared he had a tree directly in front of him. I would have nailed that tree and sent people scattering.
