Not sure how I was lucky to get seats besides Don Robinson, Angela Showalter, and Buck...

Best part of the conversation was when Mrs. Showalter talked about how she got out of jury duty by listing George Bush, Laura Bush, and Billy Graham as the three biggest influences on her life on her selection form. Buck, Angela, and Doncouldn't have been nicer.

For those of us who don't know about Don Robinson(myself included...)...

I think the Pirate pitcher was a pretty good hitter as well. Too lazy to look up any stats.

back when Polk I first started. I think the Pirate pitcher you may be thinking of was Rick Rhoden.

He also pitched for the Giants in the late 80s when Roger Craig was teaching them all the split fingered fastball and all of their arms started falling off. Scorr Garrelts, Kelly Downs, Mike LaCoss, Rick Resuchel and Robinson I think was the group.

After reviewing his stats, it was very clear that he was holding back how talented he actually was. He only vaguely mentioned playing minor league ball... and after looking at his career, it was interesting to see he won over 100 games as a pitcher and was regarded as the best hitting pitcher in bigs during his time.

By the conversation you had, I think you were sitting by Donnie Robinson who played at MSU with Showalter, not the one you linked to. The MSU pitcher Donnie Robinson played minor league ball only. Additionally, there are no known ties between Showalter and the better known DonRobinson. Also, I think I heard a year or so ago that the MSU Donnie Robinson lives in the Houston area.
Spelling edit for fear of reprisal by grammar police

but sadly isn't- that's Dave Dravecky who lost his arm to cancer.

So MSU had a Don Robinson and a Donnie Robinson at the same time?

The Don Robinson I sat by does live in the Houston area...

I saw Deljuan Robinson in the stands. I know he played for the Houston Texans last year; not sure if he is on their roster now or not.

Our group of 4 (decked out in maroon) walked by and he grabbed his cowbell and started ringing it.... I probably didn't really deserve it, but for all the clapping I've done for him, it's nice to see it reciprocated...

And I'm too lazy to look it up... but I believe he's running 2nd string this year on the Texans. I remember seeing him on the sidelines in a preseason game, but haven't paid attention to him this year.

No only one Donnie Robinson at MSU. The one you showed a picture of in Pirates uniform did not attend MSU or any college for that matter.
