rehabbing his shoulder.

The good news is these players are going to learn from nights like tonight and use it to build their confidence. It will pay off in the long run.

and there isn't much 'young' about them.

In fact we know we'll lose Stratton (he's gone until he signing day has passed IMO), Pollo, and Reed. Graveman is climbing up draft boards as well.

He's just a junior. Only spent one year in JUCO. I expect Graveman to be back.

If not, we need Evan Mitchell and Brandon Woodruff to step up in a big way. Holder has already replaced Reed in my opinion. We need Lindgren, Fitts, and Will Cox to step up next and continue to make progress as well.

Stratton is a big loss- no doubt about that.

it's your older, experienced players that will carry your team- our line-up needs experience and will be better in 2013

Where is Pollo going? Will be surprised if he is drafted high enough to leave. Graveman will be iffy also.

Woodruff and the other Freshmen look alot better than Stratton did 2 years ago. Our pitching staff will be pretty good next season. I'm not worried about them much at all

There will be real expectations for our program nationally. The cards stack into our favor to build on a pretty good season with almost everyone coming back.

Stratton is a big loss, no denying it. But had be left last year, we would have never known the difference. My point is... I think Evan Mitchell is sitting in the exact same situation right now. If he can go and get his command and confidence up this summer, I'm hopeful that he can fill that hole. Overall, we're not looking at any huge pitching drop off, IMO. Our fr class of pitchers is the most talented big group at that position that I ever remember us bringing in... But thanks to depth, we haven't had to "prove" that too much just yet!
