A look at who voted us where.

When we beat Florida in 2010, I Tweeted at one reporter who voted Florida in his ballot and not us, and he replied with something to the effect of "Hmmm, that's a good point. I'll make sure to include the Bulldogs next week." And he did.

So it is possible to influence voters over Twitter. We as a fanbase should have a coordinated effort to Tweet at voters who put us lower than 15 and (politely and in a logical, non-emotional manner) make the case to move us up.

Here is his explanation.

Mississippi State soared onto and up the ballot … all the way to No. 3 … after its win in Baton Rouge.

I didn’t have the Bulldogs on my preseason ballot and saw no reason to include them after wins over Southern Miss, UAB and South Alabama. But a win in Tiger Stadium speaks for itself whether this is one of LSU’s best teams or merely an average version (average for LSU).
As I’ve noted previously: Dramatic changes to the ballot in the early weeks is essential in order to expunge preseason hype and misconceptions.
If your ballot is based on results to the greatest extent possible (given the differences in early-season schedules), then Mississippi State deserves to be near the top this week regardless of where it was a month ago.

According to that site, if you scroll down to previous weeks votes, we went from 2-1 to 4-0. A night win in Death Valley is more incredible than I thought!

I tweeted at all of the voters who put LSU ahead of us and politely and calmly asked them to check the resumes and consider swapping us next week. If a few dozen MSU fans Tweet/email them, it could only help us. Especially with voters like Ken Medlin who surely would've ranked us if he knew we beat LSU last night...

No offense, but who gives a ****? If we win all our games this year we are National Champions. Who gives a damn what a bunch of pansy, never played football journalists rank the teams? We have to play on the field and win games, calling a bunch of reports up to try and influence them has absolutely zero real-world implications.
