Where are Clemson and UL?

OSU will vault TAMU if it beats UM. Washington probably vaults TAMU if it wins out. If TAMU and UL win out, but neither wins it's conference, TAMU is in over UL.
And OSU can lose to NE and either WI/NE again.

Dalvin Cook is a great back but Florida State is a average team. They are a missed XP away from possibly being 4-4 on the season.

Kentucky can run pretty much on anyone not named Alabama

Or they are a missed 50 plus yard FG from being 6-2...you are what your record says you are at this point. 5-3 and consensus Top 25

If the SEC gets two playoff slots, that should move Kentucky up on slot in the bowl hunt.

and 5th in their division.

And the North Carolina game they were lucky they were even in the game. Carolina tried to give it away.

And Cook bought them back...he is that good even with a average OL.

Don't see the SEC getting 2 CFP Slots....what you can hope for is a SEC School in the Orange Bowl. You would need either LSU, Auburn or Florida to leap frog one of the B1G teams-(Wisconsin/Nebraska)

If Alabama and AM win out they are both in. That isn't debatable.

Washington wins out they are in...the Pac 12 is by the computers is the #2 Conference in the country and 13-0 trumps aTm 11-1..

Again saw it last year with a 11-1 Ohio State being left out of the CFP...Nobody had more talent last year....just look at the 2016 NFL draft and the now likely NFL ROTY in Bosa on Defense and Elliott on Offense.

Wasn't my point...would Texas A&M be unbeaten playing Louisville schedule. Would Texas A&M be unbeaten playing Ohio State schedule-(@ Oklahoma and @ Wisconsin)......yet they are 4th...really....

Louisville has 2 teams, other than that there schedule is horrible

Texas AM win @ Auburn is better than anything Washington has on resume. Their SOS is better than OSU. Pretty simple

Again 13-0...Washington would have 13 wins with 10 wins over P5 opponents....look at the last two CFP Final Rankings. In 2014 FSU @ 13-0 got in over TCU & Baylor in a strong Big XII when both were 11-1...Last year Oklahoma got in over Ohio State due to them basically being Big XII Champs. The committee has already said Conference Titles are weigh in and aTm would be Division Runner Ups. That the main reason why the Big XII added a title game, for that extra data point the committee told them they needed.

That is very debatable. If A&M wins out and there are 4 undefeated Power 5 teams, I think A&M gets left out.

Clemson 13-0 ACC Champion
Alabama 13-0 SEC Champion
Washington 13-0 Pac 12 Champion
Michigan 13-0 B1G Champion

They would also have a hellva time getting over a 12-1 Ohio State with Ohio State having road wins at Wisconsin, at Oklahoma and home against Michigan with another win over Wisconsin in a B1G Title Game.

A&M has a couple more chances to lose and OSU could lose to Michigan (could create a big dilemma for committee if OSU beats Michigan) but Washington and Clemson aren't losing. Alabama has tough games left, but they're Alabama. Louisville is a long, long shot to make it at this point. I think it ends up being 1: Alabama, 2: Clemson, 3: Washington, 4: OSU after OSU beats Michigan and wins the Big 10.
If Washington makes the playoffs, it will be the biggest travesty since Oklahoma made it. Washington is a paper team. They have beaten no one, literally, no one of any caliber.

I can't really complain about not being in the Top 4 as a Louisville fan...but if I'm a Washington fan I am throwing things at the TV. This is Texas A&M schedule and they have 1 loss and their best OOC Opponent was a 3-5 UCLA.

9/3 UCLA W 24 - 31
9/10 vs Prairie View A&M W 0 - 67
9/17 @ Auburn W 29 - 16
9/24 vs Arkansas W 24 - 45
10/1 @ South Carolina W 24 - 13
10/8 vs Tennessee W 38 - 45
10/22 @ Alabama L 14 - 33
10/29 vs New Mexico State W 10 - 52
You are talking about wins against Auburn, Arkansas, and Tennessee. Compared to Washington beating Utah. TAMU wins this hands down. OSU beats Washington, as does Louisville.

I think Washington and UL are both better than A&M. God please kick me in the nuts for saying that about UL.
My thoughts as well and kick me twice. Now if Jackson were to tweak an ankle I might place us ahead of UL.

Michigan cannot be 13-0 with OSU being 12-1.

Truth. But don't confuse them. :sunglasses:

Read the original text of what I said....and this was in regards to a 11-1 Texas A&M over a 12-1 Ohio State....

No was talking about if Ohio State beat Michigan and finished 12-1...would take them over a 11-1 Texas A&M team and not even think about it
It certainly does not read that way. But ok.
Personally I would take OSU and Louisville over TAMU. But that is me. And as i have stated before Washington is a paper doll champion that has beaten no one.
I would have ranked the teams:
Bama
Michigan
Clemson
OSU
Louisville
TAMU
Wisconsin
Washington
But heck, what do I know.

Cool....that how I meant it...I can't argument Louisville CFP ranking because it is fair.

I wonder if a 2 loss Auburn would get in be fore a 1 loss UL. More to play.
Like it or not, if Louisville returns to the way they were playing at the beginning of the year, they will leap over TAMU and OSU, and perhaps Washington. If they throw clunkers like they did at Duke and Virginia, they have no chance.
Strange how when the season started we laughed at the thought of Louisville even being in the conversation for the playoffs and now we are trying to find reasons to say why they should not be considered.

That why this Louisville fan isn't complaining-(can't speak for others). But you can say the same for Kentucky...5 weeks ago who would have thought the Wildcats would have a legit and realistic shot at 8-4 and 2nd in the SEC East.

Let's be realistic. We are playing the dregs of the SEC. We are winning which is new, but we have yet to beat anyone with a winning record. Nobody is fooling me yet.

I'm looking at what going on at Georgia....it took a miracle for them to win @ Missouri and they already loss to Vandy. Tennessee is a dumpster fire right now. Take the wins ....
