I found myself agreeing with most of what he replied that he felt. I had mixed feelings about Croom's hire, but felt at the time, if the hire was on my shoulders, that I would have hired him. I would have been a whole lot quicker in admitting I made a mistake tho. (which has not nor ever will come from the departed one LT.).
I agreed with him that Polk should never have come back, Cohen a great hire as well as Coach Dan Mullens. Greg Bryne is a blessing for us as well as Scott Stricklin. For those that have not met Scott, try to do so, he is really going to be good for us.
Stansbury being a decent coach? Certainly not the words that I would use, is he a great coach? Can't say I would use those words either, Is he just about the best coach for MSU, yes indeedy. I might add that I think he is getting better every year.
I sat behind on front row right behind the bench his first year as HC. The managers would argue with each other as who would get water and towels for the players, the walkons were flirting with girls in the crowd during huddles, he didn't confer with his asst coaches, just those sort of things going on.
To me now, he has that look of determination , he has come into his own.
One other thing, the other night I pulled LSU up until the last few minutes and realized that we really needed them to lost, but took a lot of satisfaction in watching super star Hopson dash any chance the Vols had of winning.
And thats all I got to say about that.
