"I sure hope yall dont lose mullen. Being serious. Looks as if we got our coach. I think diaz or coach hud would do 100 times better than mullen. He can't recruit and I looked at yalls returning class and after cox and boyd leave for the nfl yall wont have **** returning. The whole O line is gone, no vick ballard or relf. I could really see him leaving but that hunchbacks days are numbered in starkville. Kirby knows mullens offense good enough to shut them down and I can guarantee the egg bowl wont even be close next year. Enjoy it while it last!"</p>

And I guarantee we will get another good young coach like Hudspeth who can recruit if Mullen leaves.

What did their recruits do this year that was impressive? Moncrief was the best one I saw. And Brassell could be good if he can stay in school as a CB. But aside from that? Tobias Singleton is a WR that has to have the ball handed to him- same as Brassell at WR. Cody Prewitt? Hilarious. We have walk-on freshmen that are at least as good as him. Trent Richardson owned Senquez Golson. CJ Johnson? He ate himself from a OLB to a DE.

Boom. Todd is on. I don't care who comes in and does what at their program, CJ, Golsen, Singleton, and Brassell (on offense) won't amount to much. They'll be those guys who start for SEC schools that no one outside of fans at that school know or care about. Example: who gives a 17 about the starting secondary for Arkansas? Moncrief will be damn good if and win Ole Miss finds a coach, quarterback, and o-line.

"He beat State 12 times in a row at Arkansas. He owns State." Guess what. He beat State 1 time in a row at UM and lost the next three in a row. Same old crap from the spirit types.

Can't you let these guys have at least 1 off-season in a REAL (not Nutt's, hopefully K Smart's) college off-season before you judge them? Sheesh, you do know the guys you mentioned were playing high school ball last year, right? Tobias led our team in return yardage. Both Snoop and Senquez started at CB in the SEC and took their lumps. Aaron Morris started before he got hurt. Prewitt had our only interception in the egg bowl. CJ Johnson had 12 tackles in the egg bowl at D-end at 235 lbs. Serderious Bryant started at LB. The list goes on and on. These are all TRUE freshmen. I didn't even get into the RS freshmen list. You may hate OM Todd, but typing something that you hope is true doesn't make it true. All of these guys will be studs. You remember Cox, Bumphis and the gang their freshmen yrs? Not too impressive, but look at em now, especially Cox. CJ will be a 265 lb beast one day. I know it pains you to admit it

Cause after the last three years of the scrubs MSU has according to the last several years of UM recruiting championships, it's 17'n lucky we can field a team!! Please... oh so correct Bear fan...please give us more dead on player evaluations!!! <div>
</div><div>Tell us more about the best pre season SEC O line. Tell us more about 3 good quarterbacks in which 2 could start for most SEC teams. And tell us more about how MSU's defense will fall off the face of the earth this year. We love hearing the truth.</div>

I mean, they were freshmen, and a lot of them played, so that means they're gonna be awesome in 2-3 years. Nobody else even plays freshmen, or at least not any as awesome as OM's freshmen. And I'm not even talking about RS freshmen. TRUE FRESHMEN! In fact, those freshmen might go to Atlanta twice. I know because I've heard it over and over and over. They are freshmen and they played so they're awesome because OM dominates in recruiting. Remember? CJ had 12 tackles, half of which were 15 yards downfield, and the other half he fell on the pile. And one time he even got up and gave the landshark. That was awesome. And Brassell was so fast he ran for 9 yards on one play. And they were only freshmen! And didn't you see their freshmen OL and DL. No? It doesn't matter because their freshmen WRs are so awesome they don't even need an OL or even a QB.

Hotty Toddy! Freshmen! Freshmen! Freshmen!

and CJ only had 10 tackles, but got blown up several times. He even fell down on purpose one time so he didn't get hit. I'm sure that game was tough for him to swallow. And somebody better get all those bad asses going to class or they won't be doing a damn thing next year.

The whole O line is gone

C Dillon Day - rFr - he's not going anywhere
OG Gabe Jackson - rSo - he's not going anywhere
LT Carmon - Senior one year OL player, but yes, he's gone
LT Blaine Clausell - rFr - played a good bit this year
OG Tobias Smith - torn up knee, out most of the season, may or may not return
OG Quentin Saulsbury - Senior - yes he's gone
RT Addison Lawrence - Senior - yes he's gone

Two starters return, three starters lost. One with significant PT returns.

And none of them took cheap shots at their DL's knees.

There is a huge difference between playing as a true freshman in the SEC because you are ready and playing out of necessity. Frankly (and you can call me a homer), the only true freshman of yours that would have played this year for us would have been Moncreif. Physically, he was ready for the SEC and we do not have a WR with his size. Brassell would probably have been returning kicks or punts, but Tobias, Golson, CJ and the rest would not have sniffed the field.

Just because I play golf doesnt mean that I can play golf.

..of our own poster, vicious (I guess he's a MSU fan) who has already posted a half a dozen times that MSU's 2012 OL is 17ed & MSU is headed to a 2-10 record next year.

Let's see: Dan Mullen is the first MSU coach since FDR was president to win 3 in a row against Oxford U., yet your Bear buddy hopes & prays Mullen stays in Starkville.

Right. And I hope I get hit by a train this afternoon because I can use the lawsuit money against Southern Pacific.

They lose several of their better players (Bolden, Lockett, Damien Jackson, Enrique Davis, Dorsey, and Sowell, and that's not counting players who will be ineligible or transfer). They trade Kentucky for Florida and BYU for Texas next yea, then they will lose a big amount of starters after next season. So they are not going to get better and may get even worse. Their new coach has a huge rebuilding effort ahead of him.

who is going to block for them?

I realize you are going to get rid of a bunch of people who werent talented enough to win more than two games.

So what you are saying is that the players that couldnt beat them out are going to do better? That's reality?

Come on.

I stand by my statement. Brassell will prove to be yet another overhyped USP player and Tobias will prove to be not worth the effort everyone put into his recruitment, at least on the field. Apparently he's yall's primary recruiter now, so I guess that has some value. CJ Johnson may very well be 265 lbs in 2-3 year like you said, but I've never considered it a good thing for a DE to chow down on McDonald's every day, not go to class, and play with almost 0% intensity on the field at a position he plays because he's a lazy piece who can't play his natural position anymore.

They were highly recruited. Ole Miss got them. Congrats. Good luck with them on your roster. If I'm correct, Brandon Wilson, a walk-on engineer major, was something like 5th in the SEC in tackles at MLB. How many tackles did CJ have at MLB? Brassell would have been 4th on the chart at corner behind Banks, Broomfield, and Slay, and Slay might have played a total of 5 minutes this season.

Singleton didn't do **** for you this season, and to say he did is homerish. Everyone on this board will tell you Moncrief is a great player and will BE a great player and he had 4 touchdowns and something like 350 yards. Wow.

I'm not going to sit here and tell you we didn't want them. We wanted them. We wanted them a lot. We didn't get them. But with their attitudes and work ethics, I'm happy they're there and guys who have heart for the game and the mindset to LEARN and BECOME BETTER are on our team, guys who don't play football to get all the white girls to swallow or for the sole purpose to one day make a lot of money doing it in the NFL. That's not why you play the game. It shows on the field.

These freshmen attend OM so obviously they will never make any progress, gain any weight, learn any more than they did in 1 season, get any stronger, faster, blah, blah, blah. It might make you all feel better to say that, but well, I guess we'll have to wait and see. ;)

you're the guy who bragged on here in August that OM has "three good options at QB." You just have a new username. I don't blame you, though. I wouldn't come back honestly after that either.

And, yes, we'll just wait and see. Everyone is terrified.

They were before the 2nd suspension. How anybody could tell if we actually have QBs who can play is beyond me.

So your starting quarterback, a guy who started... 9 of your games... is that correct? Has comparable stats to a guy who started 4 games?... I'm missing your point. Yall sucked. I think you're the only person arguing that. The fact that your leading receiver had 4 TD's says all you need to know.

Edited to add that Mackey started 8 or 9 games, but played the majority of those other losing efforts. Russell mopped up against Memphis and had "face time" against Ole Miss where he was in to hand the ball off to our 3rd string running back in the 4th quarter before Favre mopped up for him. My point is Mackey had an entire season worth of PT while Russell played 1/3 of the season and has his same stats?

Otherwise, Russell had a higher completion percentage, more TDs (on fewer attempts), fewer interceptions and a higher yards per both attempt and completion than Mackey did. Russell's QB rating is 135.1. Mackey's is 118.4.

Here's a tip. When you're as bad defensively as Ole Miss was this past season, you're going to have great return numbers because you get the ball kicked to you a running ton.

All colleges recruiting CJ talked about his ability to play LB. Now he is a fat, lazy and overweight DE. Brassell has no hands and is average DB. Nutt admitted his recruiting classes in the past have not panned out and that's why you guys have lost a record number of SEC games in a row. Suspensions, questionable work ethic, etc. Character does MATTER!!!Your next coach will have to dismiss a number of your so-called quality recruits to get this thing turned around.

So when Fletcher & Josh leave we "don't have ****"? Did you see PJ Jones vs Tbob Hebert in the LSU game on 3rd & Goal? I mean REALLY? Pj & Preston Smith were pretty damned good this year as (wait for it) FRESHMEN! Imagine what they will look like with another year under Balis & Wilson! Not to mention Eulls, Virges & hell even Cherrington looms badass in shortyardage situations. There's a reason why Jeff Howie left, he was getting his *** handed to him by freshmen! And don't get me started on Relf and "what we're losing w/ him leaving." Tell ur dumbass buddy if he thinks Relf smoked the Bear's *** everytime he was on the field. Wait till he sees Prescott. Who is almost as big as Relf, better accuracy & far quicker & also has had the opporitunity to sit and soak up the offense as he graduatef high school EARLY & got here before the other freshmen. Oh what's that Vick Ballard, oh okay Nick Griffin will be twice the back Vick was! Way bigger & stronger and almost as fast. All these kids are the future of OUR football team & they are VERY young. Oh ****, that's right......but Mullen can't recruit......RIGHT? Trith be told the ONLY thing Mullen probably needs to work on as far as recruiting is concerned is OL. Other than that, this team's gonna be fine! Tell ur dumbass friend Smart isn't going to the Bears & neither is Malzhan. If anything they get Freese. But even if they did get Smart, like the other poster said. Good luck getting 5 star top 5 LB & DL every year. Manny's D looked awesome last year. Now look at it in Texas.
