A question on Sidney as compared to the Calipari players...

We all know Calipari is tied to the Nike guy who funnels players to him and all that slime that goes with it. We all know he's left 2 programs with vacated wins. So he's obviously cheating in how he gets these guys eligible. And we also wonder why John Wall and Demarcus Cousins and the rest get eligible, but Renardo Sidney does not.

I'm trying my best not to be a sheep about this, but here is my question: Is MSU's Athletic Department doing something that Calipari/Kentucky's is not, ie going through the right channels to the NCAA? I mean, is Sidney getting suspended because MSU did the right thing? Don Jackson himself complained about MSU not "helping" Sidney in the right ways, and we all know Jackson is crooked and we're fairly certain Sidney did in fact take money. Perhaps Jackson was trying to cover up the slime Calipari style, and MSU wouldn't do it? I could see that as possible.

Not trying to sing cumbaya about MSU and act like we're all rosy, but let's face it Kentucky was DESPERATE. They had passed on Calipari before due to the slime trail he leaves everywhere he goes. So I could see them going to great lengths to cover things up, while MSU is SOMEWHAT adhering to the rules better.

Or at least I'd rather believe that, than actually think the NCAA is on a witch hunt against us.

I think theNCAA is getting very pissed at Kentucky/Calipari types. It's up to the schools what they allow to go on. Kentucky's taken a chance, and since the SEC is funneling this ****, they get away with it. Hopefully the NCAA doesn't stand for it for too long.

than if MSU is good. Make no mistake about it, the NCAA will only punish Kentucky when Kentucky puts them (NCAA) in a position to where they have no choice.

Same goes for football schools. Look at USC. If the **** they pulled with Bush et al. would have occurred at other schools not names USC, Bama, OSU, etc the hammer would have been dropped. Hell, we were popped for small stuff.

I think the NCAA doesn't give a **** what Kentucky does, as long as they make the tournament and makes them money.

March Madness accounts for like 95% of the NCAA's revenues. Kentucky is a historically good program with a nation wide following. That means more attendance/ratings for them, which equals more money.
