Since it was locked, just wanted to say that Timberton Golf Club is the best course in the Hattiesburg area, better than HCC and (especially) Canebrake.

I'll give you Canebrake maybe, but there is no way Timberton is a better golf course than HCC. They have some of the best greens I've ever played.
...in my book. That being said, Leatha's old location had a much better ambiance than the current one in Lamar County.
Overall course, though, I'll take Timberton's overall layout. You are right about the HCC greens. They are immaculate.
I like all three. I would say the greens, etc and the care given to them, you would have to put HCC number 1. Canebrake is up and down. I really can't tell a difference since they reworked the greens last year. Timberton is a nice course as well. They probably lose a little by not having the overall facilities like the others. Hey, don't forget about Shadow Ridge!
If Shadow Ridge were cheaper, I'd play it more. Too much $$$ for playing in a landfill/gravel pit.
