Very simple. PP should split into two units (this is done all the time in business). The first provides all PP services except for abortions. The second only performs abortions.

The U.S. can provide funding for non-abortion services. PP can raise private money to fund abortions. We all know money is fungible. This would put up a wall to ensure no public funds used for abortion.

I wonder if PP would endorse this simple, easy, effective plan especially since PP states that abortion is only 3% of the services they provide (which of course is a lie).

Anyone with half a brain knows its a lie.

Of course it is a lie. They get a sizable portion of their revenues from abortion. But the solution would still work. Split PP into two units. This would ensure no public funding of abortion. My strong guess is that PP will reject this because they need federal money to cover abortion overhead expenses.

Would the Pope divide the Vatican between those who accept communion without Confession of Sins and those who don't?

Abortion services are the "sacrament" of the Left and Planned Parenthood. Asking them to give that up is tantamount to asking Catholics to forswear Holy Communion...confessed Sinners or not.

Don't count on it, but it is an excellent suggestion.

(have a sense their abortion funding would dry up)

I think their abortion funding would continue. Hollywood, Silicon Valley, elite libs billionaires and the radical environmentalists would continue to fund them.

Maybe. But those same folks contribute very little relative to their fabulous incomes to the causes they regularly castigate others for not paying their "fair share" to.

Most philanthropy in generous amounts is found on the Right. Leftists only pay lip service to the social justice they insist others fund.

It might be interesting to see how much the "pro choice" activists actually did give to Planned Parenthood to keep it running at current levels if all Federal funding were removed?

Very interesting experiment to see if the Left's money is where it's big mouth is.
