and his name is Jordan Anderson.
In his breakout game, Anderson had 25 carries for 263 yards (3 TDs) in JCA's win over ST Laurence last night. With all of the talent JCA has this year, this SOPHMORE (YES, ONLY A SOPHMORE) provided the highlights many long time JCA observers have come to expect from JCA's long line of outstanding backs.
His performance did not come as a surprise to anyone who saw him play last year on the freshman team. Will he live up to the level so many recent stars (Alstott, JR, Benson, Jones, Ferguson, Isaac) have achieved, or will he blow up even bigger? I don't think it is fair to consider that question yet - but it is nice to know this young man has a chance to be mentioned in the same breath. If he keeps working hard, and stays healthy, he definitely has the potential to be in the photo of all time great backs at JCA.
Strap in Hilltopper fans for what could be a fun next 2 1/2 years.
