This is about a Class 6 player and his family, but you know I'm just an old Class 4 guy. So, forgive me for posting here.

When I was at the Manchester at Monacan game a couple of weeks ago, we sat on the Manchester side, just for convenience. We had the good fortune to take a seat in front of the family of the Manchester QB, Brendon Clark.

It's easy to see why Wake Forrest, (amount others), expressed so much interest in Brendon. His athletic ability is out there for all the world to see. What you don't see is the rest of the package. With such a humble and supportive family behind him, he can't help but be a success in life.

Oh his family was top notch, super thankful and humble. Their daughter played softball in college as well and has had a lot of success athletically and in the classroom. Good humble people!

That was a really great Friday night, mbonape. Terrific being with you guys, a great supper, wonderful people all around us in the stands, and one hell of a football game. Hard to top a night like that.

Yes, his sister Jordan is just as athletic. She plays centerfield at Longwood and led the team in hitting. Very fast with long strides. I have enjoyed knowing the family, especially Jordan for several years. As an umpire you recognize talent quickly and more important you see just how well some kids are raised. The Clarks are a fine family and very supportive of high school athletics.
