We can incorporate that INTO the new logo. (I don't really want to, but a thread that doesn't add something to the new logo just seems wrong.)

It looks like you haven't read a whole lot of the classics.
You haven't watched much MSU sports either, from the looks of it.

/Loved the emoticon too

Again with the smiley face. Unbelievable. If you came to the sixpack looking not to get, as you put it, "dissed" you came to the wrong place.

There were MSU teams with less talent (see any team in the 1960's, Tech and 10 in 1988, 2004-06), but this team combined the lack of talent with a quitter's attitude.

In the past, State would lose and lose big, but the opponents always knew they were in a game. Most teams hated playing a big rival the week after they played us because they were so beat up. Not in 2003....according to one poster here, some of the starters wouldn't even show up for practice but then would start the game.

Even in years where State had a good team, there's always something....Gene Swindoll twisting Lawrence Robert's ankle in the 2004 SEC tournament, Gene Morgan taking a liner on the foot in the 1985 CWS, big plays against Alabama and Arkansuck being called back in 1999.

I've only been really keeping up with State for about two years. Love it! Thanks for your input.
Maybe bonedaddy likes the smiling face on your posts better than he likes my :).

Me, duh. Read it at Harvard. Guelphs and Ghibellines aside, The New Life is sexier. Visions of "Ego Dominus Tuus" and burning hearts? Good lord, it got me laid like a million times in high school.

The phrase is just a reference to getting your hopes up only to have them let down.. a feeling State fans have become quite exposed to over the years. Nice to see someone take the hits with a grain of salt and continue posting with (oblivious) determination. Your thoughts may go ignored at times, but I assure you that your opinion won't be the worst of what this board has seen or will see. If you really have two teens and you're posting on Sixpack, you're probably a pretty cool mom.

only cool people post on message boards.

Female with teenager children, posting smiley faces on a message board. Yup. jamdawg is right. That is too cool.

STILL managed to beat Memphis best team. They had D'Angelo Williams and JLD hadn't poisoned their program up to that point.

I'm still not quite sure how we beat two teams that year, even if one of the teams was Vandy and the other was Memphis, who we always beat. The best part was JWS coaching a crappy two win team and still trash talking with Tommy West.

I was just trying to make her feel welcome. I love this message board, but it's not like it's sacred ground or anything. She asked a simple question and chose to express herself politely. I'm sorry if you can't handle a colon, a dash, and a closing parenthesis typed together. It's a <17>ing smiley, chopstick. Get over it.
