I was drinking Purple Haze tonight (great beer i must say) and catching up on sixpack before I read your post. Their seasonal beers sound interesting and I did not realize they did this. Does anybody know where I can get these seasonal beers?

but I'm not sure about Abita. If they don't, they need too, because in my opinion Abita is better than Sam Adams.

I've had a few where the blueberries blended in like magic. I've had a hell of a lot more than a few where it was like drinking perfume.

Dinner at the Abita brewpub in Abita Springs is something everybody should do if they have the chance. The food is outstanding and more than makes up for Abita beer products.

try the abita andy gator. you won't be disappointed. on a side note, mississippi is now the last state to have not raise the alcohol % in beer. (alabama did it last month) when will this, if ever, happen?

If you want to do something about it, join a group called raise your pints. They are all about getting this changed for the better. It does not surprise me at all that Mississippi is the LAST state to do it. Our Legislature is about as predictable as the outcome of super regionals in Oxford.

Anyone tried the Abita Satsuma? If so, how is it? I've been looking for the andygator in Birmingham but havent found it. Looks like OnTap might have it according to Abita's webpage, I'll have to check it out.

Good from a bottle but so much better from a keg. Was down in Bay St. Louis a few weeks ago and had to drive across the state line to get some Andygator. Abbey Ale is the only beer of theirs that I don't like and that's just because I don't enjoy that style. Their Lite is one of the best lite beers I have had and the Golden is really good but I have a hard time finding it.

Ive had the Abita Satsuma and I liked it, it tastes similar to blue moon (a belgian wheat beer) Still not near as good as their strawberry beer.

Good stuff. Light citrus flavor, but not too fruity. Tastes like Abita Golden with a hint of citrus. Not my favorite of the Abita's (that would go to Jockamo IPA), but it's solid.

different flavor beers that haven't yet made it to market. I had a raspberry lager there once....awesome.

The food is okay...but it's south Louisiana so that means it better than 99% of the restaurants in Mississippi.

The Pecan Harvest was a reaction to Lazy Magnolia's "Southern Pecan" that does so well.

I love Lazy Magnolia, their owners, and their whole business concept -- but I gotta say Pecan Harvest is just as good as Southern Pecan.
