Looks really good. Will the upper deck part in the end zone extend all the way around to merge with the existing Club Level and Pressbox level? Hard to tell from the picture. I would think the higher you can be in the end zone, the better you could see the game.

It annoys the hell out of me that they haven't put the treads in the last sections of the bowl. It's been months.

The current outline of what you see is what it will be in this phase... That's the extent of the upper deck(aka the Scoreboard Club).

The stadium expansion is engineered to stack another level of skyboxes atop the ones in this expansion. This essentially merges the "Scoreboard Club" indoor area into a future skybox lounge. It will remove the lower half of the Scoreboard Club Seating, and merge in an additional 7k seat upper deck in the endzone. All pre-emptive/footing work is already done for this future addition -- which could be completed in one off season when the needs arise.

It will be interesting to see where we go from here on Davis Wade. The fact that we sold out skyboxes in a matter of days shows that we're either under built or under priced in that regard -- a situation we will almost assuredly want to remedy with a quickness, while we're either over-built or right on the borderline with club seating now. Especially with the additional revenue stream already incoming next year -- and us likely needing somewhere to "invest" an extra $30-40 million per in the coming years -- I see more skyboxes very soon in Davis Wade's future. The question is where and how.

Personally, I think it makes sense to either renovate the mid-level of the west side into skyboxes and a virtual copy of the east side -- if at all possible within the constraints of the current structure. I've heard whispers of this -- but no idea if it's actually doable, what it would cost, and what moving the pressbox up top would entail...

You can be sure that there is a logical reason for it. Construction/equipment/materials access in that area I feel certain. Whatever it is, those few pre-cast risers can be placed in a few days.

I have no "whispers" to hear, but this makes the most sense to me in terms of future premium seating. Make the current West seating into club and skybox areas and then move the pressbox to the upper level. Chairbacks on the 50's East and West side make a lot of sense for premium seating as well. If you overbuild, you just reduce the number of seats.

The pressbox in the upper level would be way up there. I think the better solution would be to have a two-story press box right in the middle with skyboxes on either side of it. I personally love the idea of a ring of skyboxes all the way around the stadium (adding skyboxes to the west side and to the scoreboard club) and then having an upper deck connection with the east and west decks, but I know we're a long way from that right now.

Who will have access to the "terrace" area on either side of the scoreboard club? And does anyone know of any plans for those areas this year?

I think it would be a great family-type congregation area for the time being.

Members of the scoreboard club will have access to it. To my knowledge, thats it.

Perhaps we are going to install somethings like this, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L83XAgsl_Gg, the largest bell in the world. We should clearly have the largest cowbell in the world and make it ringable by our celebrity of the game, etc.

Great publicity for something like this if we would make it happen.

That's what I figured. Nice perk if so. Those are really going to be great seats, but the sun may be tough.

The outdoor terraces are gonna be great for those members. I would probably spend most of the game watching from there.

I wonder how empty the scoreboard club will look - because like you - I would almost rather stand around the terrace level.

and if you look closely at some of the pics, that terrace is tiered where it has a below terrace step down level, then the terrace level. its gonna be sweet.

I was hoping that this connected to (and had access from) the west side 100s and/or 200s and the east side club level.
