Per Steve... Chad Voytik- the longer things go the better it is for MSU. Vanderbilt trying to get him to join their bigin-state class. Selling their medical program. MSU and Pitt are still the two leaders and that a decision is still up in the air.

This was from his bones last night!!! um... Hello, Steve. Areyou there? There is now a direct quote from Voytik stating that he will be choosing from Vanderbilt and Pitt. Goes to show you, we have our own Yancy. He knows absolutely nothing about what is really going on with our recruiting, but he sure tries to act like he does. He's just trying to keep the masses interested to maintain subscriptions.

comes to talent evaluation, not predictions like this guy is.
Yancy....

"M. Miller is the next Jason Campbell" - dumb

"Dont be surprised if OM ends up with some MSU commitments" - spot on

(a week before signing day)"J. Whitehead is Auburn's to lose" - spot on

The exact wording from the bone is:

I am told MSU and Pitt are still the two leaders and that a decision is still up in the air.

You left out the "I am told" portion, which is quite important. It is the difference between Steve being wrong and his source being wrong. Now, maybe the guy has ****** sources and needs to work to get some better ones. But there is a big difference.

I think it's doubtful. If we lose out on Voytik, the only other option that I'm aware of is Steven Bench and that is iffy at best. I think it's more likely that we wait and take one next year.

You dont think these internet web douches use the phrase "I am told" so that they coincidently end up never being wrong, do you?

he lives in Oxford, he goes to the games, he has connections on the staff, and he apparently has a lot of connections at some top high school programs in the state and with important "boosters".

Steve doesn't even live in MS. He doesn't seem to have any connections with the staff. And he gets offended if you say that hecovers MState recruiting.

Is when either Yancy, Gene or Steve talk about a certain player being a stud (Last year it was Gene gushing about Chief Brown, and Yancy talking big about Joe Morrow) and then both start seeing the writing on the wall and all of a sudden both players "have fallen down the pecking order" or "may not fit into Ole Miss/MSU's plan". Always good for a laugh.

At the end of the day, if Gene starts saying an instate player that MSU has wanted for months has fallen down the pecking order, or if Yancy says that a certain player doesn't fit what the coaches are looking for right now, I would put more stock in that player signing with the other school more than I would if the kid comes out and commits publically to MSU or Ole Miss.

Im really interested in this year's MS recruiting. It seems really top heavy. Evans, Ward, and Alford are all extremely talented. I have a feeling they all sign at different schools. There just isn't enough talent for an instate school to sign 20 MS kids this year and call it a success if the top kids go in different directions.

that Steve uses, "it appears we're keeping _______ warm."

Makes me ill every time I read it.
