Absolutely absurd that some kids are still struggling to get a fifth year after a five in five rule was adopted while others are getting 7. I legitimately don't know how anyone could justify a player being in their 7th year.

The latter part of Cal's tenure had me losing interest in college basketball. Now I only watch our games, and I even turned ours off last night in the 2nd half...it was a snoozer.

College football has become an absolute circus. I'm loving what Stein is doing though.

I absolutely question how much longer Im going to hang on as a fan. I just find myself caring less and less about sports for a litany of reasons these days. It isn't any one thing. It's the culmination of all of this nonsense 7th yr seniors is just one such example.

Hell, Ive only watched two Bengals games all season. It wasn't but a handful of years ago Sunday was wall to wall NFL action for me

And before the usual smart asses chime in about boomers, I'm 43.

For now, I'm still on here, I still tune in and keep up, but it's out of control and I think I'm not alone in feeling this way.

Seventh year seniors used to be the dude wearing the Baja pullover that you got weed from that never left college. Now they are multi-millionaire semi-pro athletes.

Why does it bother you. That's the old rules. Kepnang got the covid year, doesn't count. He was then injured for two of his other years. One regular redshirt, and one medical redshirt. 7 years, but he hasn't played that much with the injuries and that's really the only way someone gets that much time.

Manhattan had a 7th year guy on the court last night, forget his name. He missed two years after having to have open heart surgery on his aorta. Not all 7th year guys are the same. Some are genuine, and some are Counsel from Kansas...
