BI is definitely the ROY. Not close.

I think Johnson is probably the POY. He's been a monster on the best team. I think Barber is great, but like I disagreed with Erick Green being POY a few years back, I just don't think that award can go to a player on one of the worst teams in conference. JMO.

It's always interesting to me when a player eclipses a teammate who was favored for some award. Nolan usurped Kyle their senior year, and Johnson is doing the same to Paige.

Pitino and Larranaga may be in a two-man race for CoY. There's not much buzz surrounding any of their players, yet their teams are right there, exceeding expectations.

Grayson will end up first team and BI will probably make second team. I wouldn't be surprised to see Marshall get a couple votes if he keeps playing as he has of late.

It would be tough for Duke to end up with 2 on 1st team if we're not even top 3 in the conference.

In Paige's defense, he's had some injuries. I've grown to respect his game.

Paige went from low first round pick to not even getting drafted thanks to Roy

The Hornets will find a place for him come June whether he is a first rounder, second rounder or free agent. Wait and see . If he doesn't make the initial roster he will be playing for the Hornet's D league team the Greensboro Swarm. He will put butts in the seats. Remember that the Hornets and the Swarm are smack dab in the middle of Tar Heel Country. OFC

I just don't see us having two on the 1st team either but hope I'm wrong though. Possibly 1 and 2nd team or 1 and 3rd team but hard to see one on the 3rd team. Its always interesting seeing where they land.

Buzz Williams not even in the race???

If they eat L'Ville tonight he will. His out of conference marks are really hurting what this team has been doing and it will at the end of the year too. He has a guy in Zach LeDay who should be second team All-ACC and if he isn't it's not even fair.

For VT, IMO, they are a year away from actual tournament contention, but this year they'll spoil somebody's ACC tourney.

I think Damien Lee has got to be at least in the discussion for 1st team. Over maybe Gbinije or Jackson. Kid is playing himself into POY consideration.

You guys think Amile would've gotten a nod at 3rd team? He was playing very well. 12/11 and a beast on D.

To me the locks should be Blossomgame, Johnson, and Allen. Barbers shooting % are much lower than the other top scorers which may factor against him. I would personally put Brogden and 1 other in at the moment)

I don't Johnson is the cinch he was thought to be 3-4 weeks ago. He's still not playing bad, but he's kind of back to the Brice we've been used to.

I'm with you jay. He was loving off of the 30 point 20 board performance. As impressive as it was it made us forget how inactive he can be at times.

I think Brice will be up there because he is the best player on the best team, but Grayson, Cat and Damian Lee would be up there for me personally.

Obviously I'd love Grayson to win PoY, but aside from him, I think I'm going to pull hard for Damion Lee. It'd be a big middle finger to UL admin for their decision to hedge their bets at the expense of a ranked team w/ the ACC PoY who wasn't even there when any shenanigans went down.

If Duke goes 12-6 or better in the ACC then I don't see how Ingram isn't on the first-team list. He's been spectacular. But I'd agree with the other four....and I think each and every one of them are as close to locks as you can get right now.

FWIW, I switched my POY pick back to Brice Johnson the other night. Brogdon can still catch him, but Brice is the leader in the clubhouse right now, IMO.

Cat, Grayson, BJ, and Brogdon seem to be locks. Although is it possible that Ingram could overtake Allen if they decide they only want one Duke player? Maybe...

Johnson is a perfectly reasonable pick, but I would have a very hard time not voting for Brogden. He is the best scorer on a top tier conference team, and the third overall scorer in the conference. Couple that with the fact that he is the best defender in the conference by a pretty sizable margin. He did a better job on Barber than anyone else in the conference has. In their game with Duke, he did a great job on Allen, and when Ingram went off Brogden is who they went to to slow him down (which allowed Allen to finally get going). To me, there isn't a single player in the conference as impactful on both sides of the floor.
