the rumor about Elgin getting run off and Sidney being allowed to stay has legs. Supposedly no final decision has been made, but it appears this will be the case.

He said he spoke with some folks over beers in the bar at his hotel this weekend, and that they suspect both will just have to coincide with each other and nether will be tossed,... But once again this is Bo Bounds so who the hell knows.....

"the team" voiced the opinion that Elgin needs to go, ala RAH-bert JACK-son [insert rhythmic clapping]. Again, I think the recruiter wants that scholly.

If Stansbury wants the scholarship, can't he wait until the end of the season to run Bailey off? Its not like he's going to sign someone this weekend.

if he keeps him then there would almost need to be an additional incident or something to drop him at the end of the year. I guess you could tell him that "we'll keep you for now but you need to find somewhere to transfer to after this year" but that's certainly not going to sit well with a hotheaded type player and likely will just cause more team problems.

I really don't see that. If he wants Bailey gone at the end of the year, then he will be gone. He doesn't need to "use" the current situation just to free up Bailey's scholarship.

if Bailey IS dismissed now its only because things have gotten bad enough that Stans doesn't think his attitude can coexist with Sidney and the rest of the team through the rest of the season. It won't be directly because of the fighting incident. And goodness knows we could use the additional big body the rest of the year.
