"according to his (Bost's) twitter account." Wow, just wow. I guess the C-L encourages this type of reporting.

Twitter and other social media are the future of journalism. Besides, there is no better source for this information about Bost than his personal Twitter account.

It's a direct quote from Dee Bost. What better source could there be (unless he could somehow get one of theNCAA committee members to give a quote)?

Like "wow, I can't believe the NCAA meant what they said when they put out that deadline". Or "wow, they let me back in".... or "wow, they're giving me the finger and suspending Renardo for another 5 games just because I asked"

he used "according to" and wrote 3rd person, as if he was trying to be professional, but then said "according to Bost's twitter account". Why not just retweet? It just seemed like he was trying to be formal while at the same time, quoting a twitter account. I expected it to be "according to spokesman from the team" or "according to an NCAA official" etc.

Yeah, because identifying who it is according to is a terrible thing. And having it come from the person being investigated is just unacceptable. Why shouldnt he try and be formal?

If he doesnt say who the info is according to, then everyone will ask, "Who the F did he talk to for the info?"

Well Sidney said several times last year he was going to be cleared by the NCAA by the next game and that didn't happen.
