It just seemed like he was trying to be formal while at the same time, quoting a twitter account. I expected it to be "according to spokesman from the team" or "according to an NCAA official" etc.

Yeah, because identifying who it is according to is a terrible thing. And having it come from the person being investigated is just unacceptable. Why shouldnt he try and be formal?

If he doesnt say who the info is according to, then everyone will ask, "Who the F did he talk to for the info?"

Well Sidney said several times last year he was going to be cleared by the NCAA by the next game and that didn't happen.
