we didn't know it was toeing the NCAA lines. It was brought to our attention by someone (not the NCAA), so we took them down to try to avoid potential NCAA scrutiny.
I'll buy that, especially because I think the locations make it pretty clear what the motive of the billboards was. This is the SEC. We have more NCAA police in our fan ranks than anywhere else in the country.
As I said, regardless of whether it's a secondary violation or not, I think it's well worth the move to try it. Secondary violations don't hurt, even if they do stick you with one, so why not go ahead with it?
