I saw that as well. I read that is dad is from Kosy, and wants to move back to Mississippi. It looks like Mullen will take two QB's, if that happens I think Carroll is gone. On the other hand this doesn't give me a very good feeling about Russell.

Is that just the MSU fan in you? Why do you automatically assume that because we may be in on another QB that Russell may be falling thru? We need all the TALENT at QB that we can get. ****, we've never had one. If it takes signing 4 good ones so that one will pan out, I say go for it. We can't do any damn worse than we have in......FOREVER.

But Russell has made no comments since his in-home visit from Mullen. Nothing to worry about here.

At least we are recruiting QB's nowadays. I want to see no more Henigs running our offense in the future.

.............saying **** about Mullen's in-home visit going bad with Tyler. I'm just amazed anyone actually believes what he says.

Hear he's a dual threat guy; passer and scrambler. Would be a huge pick up, I think Petrino is all over him as well at UPIG

I'm pretty sure that was ole miss grad on this site, and his info is about on par with diamondreb, meaning he simply makes it up out of thin air.

I disagree with him some, but he's usually right.

And, Mullen was thrown out of the Patterson household. He basically sat in his living room and asked him how much of a troublemaker he is and how much of a ***** his girlfriend is....in front of his parents.

I can absolutely confirm this. I live next door to Patterson and Mullen had a beer at my house after this all went down. He really seemed sad and lost. We should rehire Croom.

Well of course he did, I mean if you're trying to recruit a player, this is exactly what you would do. It's truly amazing what some people will believe. I bet you think Croom and company pulled up with cars to give out at Robert Elliot's house too right?

I could actually see Gene asking him those two questions.

someone who makes **** up for the sake of making **** up. If you knew ANYTHING about the Patterson recruiting process you would have never have posted this.

Go back to NAFOOM and enjoy your youtube videos, recipes and movie reviews. Have fun you ******.

a close friend of mine from from Meridian who is close to Coach Larry Weems and his charming wife, Chris told me Tyler was "less than impressed" with Big Dan. What does this say about our chances...nothing really in my opinion because this kid lives and breathes MSU...hell he committed to Crooms with his stellar QB record!

Patterson would decommit back when OM posters here said he was looking to go somewhere other than MSU.

I don't keep up with recruiting much at all, just what I read on here. That said, your post just doesn't add up. The guy isn't a moron. I just won't believe Mullen would go into a recruit's house and say that. Sounds like a steaming pile of crap to me.

that's why the next day MSU was not listed in his list of schools. This is not from Yancy, but someone much closer.

I have no idea about Russell or anyone else. I fully expect Russell to sign with State. And ask DS, I told him this a while back.

and saying the things Vanilla listed are two totally different things. I'm not disputing whether or not the visit went poorly, mostly because I have no idea. But, I just don't buy the part about what Mullen supposedly said.

I'm just curious about what would make someone "less than impressed" with Mullen and QB's? Personality, Philosophy?

Same with Patterson - there's now way he said what the reb above is saying, but there certainly wasn't any positive press after the visit either. We're certainly going to be learning what kind of recruiter he is shortly.

He did ask him a lot about his character, and the people he runs around with, etc. His dad was a little offended by it, I guess he thought the asking of those questions was implying something. But no, he didn't call his girlfriend a ***** or anything.

(though I'm sure unintentionally) that PP is/was a liar.

He was tossed before he got to explain himself.

the story about him getting onto a guy at the press conferences for saying "kick ole miss's ***" says a lot.

He then told that guy that his wife was a slut.

I said he BASICALLY asked those things.

He was asking all different things like who he runs around with, what he does in his "off" time, etc etc. Patterson would answer him and he'd keep pressing in a way that made it seem like Patterson was lying to him.

He then asked the same stuff about his girlfriend, like how much she did drugs, what kind of girl she was, etc.

As Grad said, he was then tossed and asked not to come back. MSU was then eliminated.

So he basically called the guy's girlfriend a tramp and a druggie, but he didn't exactly say it. I see clearly now.

not sure why a gay Ole Miss fan would use that as his signature but I do think it was a real quote. He's one of those guys that seems to mess with the recruiting guys that call him a lot. I think it's pretty funny.

b/c he tries way too hard. And funny enough, he got screwed with by a recruit.

with any of the other recruits. Standard type questions, ever use drugs? alcohol? Basic stuff like that. Pretty sure he wasn't singleing him out. They all get asked this stuff. If offense is taken, it's prob because the parents are already looking into other "endeavors".

Hutchins is excited to have Mullen in Starkville and is glad that he will be taking over the special teams.

"Coach Mullen had Tim Tebow at Florida and now he is going to have Heath Hutchins at Mississippi State," Hutchins said. "He is going from the quarterback of quarterbacks to the punter of punters."

Hutchins already has plans to get the Bulldogs back to a bowl game and get another ring on his finger.

"I've only got one ring on my finger and that was at ICC for winning the north," Hutchins said. "It would be nice to go to another bowl game and get a ring."
