he stabbed the dog in the eye with a fork and devoured him right in front of Mullen. Then he snorted a line of coke off Mullen's forehead before whipping out a 9 and emptying it into his grandmother. Mullen offered him immediately and gave him a suitcase with 3 million Euros in it, which was to be deposited in our double-secret account in the Caymans. Roy McLain will be hiding the PLOI in his sock drawer. Khayat saw the whole thing from his spy camera he had installed in Mullen's left testicle. Meanwhile, Gene is digging to find out what Patterson's favorite pizza toppings are.

a LOT less frequently than we did Blake McAdams.

That definitely is Croom's lasting legacy, that his punter for 4 of the 5 years at MSU set the SEC record for most punt attempts in a career. It's really amazing that the guy never could get an offense to work, especially since his background was offense.

talked to an assistant coach at MHS who speaks with Tyler regularly. Said that during his in-home visit, CDM was much more agressive that Croom and asked him to make his decision within 5 days. Tyler's parent's didn't like that sort of pressure one bit. The coach that I talked to (who is a big MSU fan) tried to smooth it over with Tyler in telling him that CDM just needed to know relatively quickly, because he had made a commitment to only sign one QB (Tyler), and if Tyler was having second thoughts, CDM needs to start looking at some other options, so he doesn't miss an opportunity with any potential QB recruit that might like to come to MSU. He also explained to him that winning was what CDM was hired to do, and he can't afford to NOT sign an excellent QB this year because it would put him too far behind the curve with his plan. Could this be why the QB from Maryland is now on the radar?

Tyler also told this coach that he's concerned that CDM isn't a "Christian" (take that for what it's worth and what you paid for it). I thought that CDM was Catholic. Isn't that Christian? Supposedly, Tyler and his parent's are very religious people. Not that there's anything wrong with that at all. Speaks alot of his character.
Sounded to me like Tyler really liked Croom as a person, and committed to us based on that. Coach Stringer is the coach who has been recruiting Tyler, though.

OK, now for the black helicoptor portion of the story...

Tyler told this coach that Coach Moore ?? from Bama (no, not Mal Moore) had been dogging him with phone calls repeatedly during the "dead period", when no calls are permitted by the NCAA. This coach that I spoke with told Tyler that he needed to inform Coach Stringer that Coach Moore was calling him during this dead period. Tyler did, indeed, inform Coach Stringer of this. He said Coach Stringer told him that Bama is notorious for it, and nothing is ever done to them. He said that after he committed to us, that every other school that was recruiting him, with the exception of Bama, told him "if you ever change your mind, give us a call. we'd love to have you". Bama never quit recruiting him after he committed to us. They've stayed on him the whole time. You can look at that one of two ways. That sounds about right for Saban, though. He's a dickhead who doesn't care if others think he's a dickhead.

That is all.

could be trouble (but I don't think so) when another coach starts explaining for the college head coach who had a face to face on an in house visit. Maybe a little charm school is needed for Big Dan...hehehe

You should tell that assistant coach you speak of to get Veazey's blog entry from earlier in the day in Tyler's hands. One of his former QBs was in his wedding an another was supposed to be. Sounds like the kind of guy someone like Russell would want to play for.

I can't speak for Russell, but I know that there are some Protestant churches that have serious issues with people being Catholic to the point where they don't believe Catholics are going to heaven.

I'm no religious expert, but I do know some people that have those type of beliefs.

I was joking.

And yes, many people in the South don't know that a. they believe the same things as Catholics and b. Catholicism is the dominant denomination in America.

Being Catholic doesn't seem to have affected Saban's ability to recruit in the South.

A. You are way wrong. B. Again I think you're wrong, but what difference does that make? Most of America "Christians" are only labeled "Christian", because that's what they call themselves. Sadly many of them will be burning in hell too.

Not saying it would or should, just that I know some people (particularly Southern Baptists) that really have a problem with Catholicism for whatever reason. I don't know how often, if at all, religion shows up on the recruiting trail. However, even if religion of the coach was important to a player, I would guess that it wouldn't be the top priority on the recruit's list.

Bianco is a Catholic as well, and he hasn't had a ton of trouble on the recruiting trail either.

Now you damned dirty Catholics are going to cost us our future QB and first Heisman trophy winner too.

Frankly, I'm not surprised. I knew you people were trouble.
